Starting Tav and Barisic can’t really be criticised otherwise he’s starting a back four that have probably less than 10-15 starts between them in a Rangers jersey against a really physical side. Would have been suicidal.

Personally I wouldn't be starting Tav right now.  He's clearly not fit and causing a lot of issues to the rest of the team.  With Barisic it might be worth easing him out the team by giving Yilmaz more minutes as a sub.

After out midweek mauling, I was a bit concerned about the players attitude for this game. However, although it wasn't pretty, we done the needful and got all three points. It was a very big 3 points for us and keeps things interesting at the top of the league. One slip from THEM and we are in there, we need to keep the pressure on them and hopefully something will eventually give.

It was awful watching, but 3 points is indeed 3 points.

Ive seen us play much much better at Fir Park and lose or draw.

5 games in league before World Cup break next two at home

WC break cannot come quick enough for us now and may prove to be a huge blessing in disguise. Hopefully we can regroup, benefit from the rest and make some progress with the injuries, we may even see the lesser spotted Helander after the break.

Difference between us and the scum, they can put 6 past 3rd top in the league and we struggle to score 2 to a 5th from bottom.

Something has to change.

To be fair they struggled to beat the same team just a fortnight ago and we beat the third top team at the time 4 nowt away from home. That was site today though, i will give you that and it doesnt fill you with optimism going forward.

We can’t go on like this. A manager who has no clue about how to play football, yet was a proper player. Mindboggling stuff. Dear oh dear.

Watching other matches is really harsh, like, what is this end-to-end passing-with-speed running-with-purpose witchcraft game other teams are playing?

They were beaten 2-1 by St Mirren and they only beat St Johnstone 2-1 by the skin of their teeth, don't just support your argument by a one game choice.

That’s clearly apples and oranges mate.

1. They were at home

2. We took 4 off Hearts away from home, they’re 3 points behind Hibs with two games in hand.

Tav doesn’t look fit. Not getting forward like we no he can. And been poor in possession. Gio probably has to play him the next 5 league games. Too much inexperience in that back 4 already. Then hopefully resting over the World Cup period he’ll come back closer to his best

Everyone just looks to be lacking confidence.

Champions League has given us a few hidings and hasn't helped.

But if you run through each player in the squad the just don't seem right or playing at their best.

That's is either lack of faith in tactics,  management team, confusion over their role, don't like what being asked too do. Played out of position.

It's clear to see.

Can every player in the squad give more yes...  that Is where the buck stops with the management team.

3 points and hame - but very unlikely to get on much of a winning run and get the confidence up.

I normally stay optimistic, even against Liverpool I could find excuses.

We matched them in the first half, at 2-1 down we still offered a threat, only a combination of arguably our 2 best players on the night going off injured and Liverpool having the luxury of world class talent available on the bench were huge factors in the score line.

Today was absolutely fuckin rotten. When the going gets tough our captain goes missing and we’re incapable of keeping possession for the last 5 minutes when we really needed too.

We were lucky to escape with a draw against a team we should have won by at least 3 or 4 goals. Feels like a defeat.

We needed a bounce back so did they

They got theirs we didn’t

I take your point about previous games though.

There are plenty of examples of fantastic players who can't manage and alternatively great managers who were mediocre or poor players.

It's a fallacy to assume that being good at one means a gift for the other.

Just have to keep plodding on till that break. This is far from enjoyable at the moment.

Very often its the opposite thats true. There is a theory that gifted players dont have to think so much about the game and dont understand the limitations of other lesser players. Dont really know but ive heard it said a few times.
