Makes sense. He seemed visibly uncomfortable here since the calls for him to go started being more and more prominent.

Even if my bosses were saying I was fine etc, I'd want out to save face.

I'd want out too, the job is far too high profile, if fans are taking banners to the game with your face plastered all over it you'd be paranoid as fuck just walking about a shop or sitting in a restaurant thinking everyone's talking about you and just waiting for someone to want to talk to you about the gig, well paid for it but fuck that.

Seems you get a promotion when you make a cunt of it at our club.

Bisgrove has been just about  the only one performing well in his role. Not sure he's the right man for this position but he's hardly made a cunt of his previous one.

😆 yeah he's been brilliant mate, just the sponsor distaster, Aussie game and the lawsuits.

Apart from that but...

Going to gift Rangers an Indeed.com account for Christmas. The CCP is more open to external candidates than us.

We have one. Know a couple of people applied for jobs with the club on there and they were ever even looked at.

A while back they offered me an interview - the pay was so horrendously shite I just blanked them

Did we test the market?

Did we draft up both person and job specifications?

Did we hold discreet conversations with headhunters specialising in football industry?

Was our questioning more thorough than “right James, are you game?”

This smacks of a bowling club mentality where auld Tam (85) dies and young Tam (84) gets appointed as his replacement.

If Bisgrove supported the Ange Tribute Roadshow, then that monumental lack of judgement or understanding is reason enough on its own to exclude him from consideration.
