The confidence in Michael Beale

Wednesday night we had 3 summer signings start, that's not a new look side.

This is the first Beale’s been able to field the teams he wants, good or bad, he’s had the summer window and money to spend so this is now his team, and his necks on the line. This is a new look squad, you’d at least acknowledge that?

The teams he wants, the rebuild he did, and we still rely on a Warburton signing and 2 gerrard signings and a gio signing for our back 4, a gio winger has been the best wide player so far

And to top it all off we wanted a pedro signing to be brought on for a beale signing on wed night

Some players have remained, there’s no shock in that.
I’m not saying he’s got it spot on, i’m saying its too early to tell. It’s certainly far too early to be conceding titles and sacking managers imo.

What alot of shite.

edit: after going away and thinking about this, it sort of sums up alot of the mentality issues our fan base seems to have developed recently.
34 games to play and at worst 4 points behind, and the leagues over. Incredible.

if we get beat and beale is still the manager for the season it will be

Because if we're spending money now, that we hope to re coup with European football after X mass, and there is no European football after X-mass, then we have over spent.

mate some posters on here put 11 outfield  players in their team and here you are bringing quantum physics in your posts

calm doon

8 brand new players into a squad of 32 isn't a new look squad at all.

8 of them signed and only one has looked the part so far, it's not good enough

A good manager would get a return of 50 percent plus.

It's early days but no outfield player  has hit the ground running.

Our right back has scored more than any of his new forward players.

Hope he hasn't blew all our money.

Been losing the same silly goals for 5 years and 3 of the culprits are still guaranteed starters.

I cannot believe we haven’t signed another defender or 2

Always build from the back imo.

I find it mental that he wanted trusty bit it wasnt a goer and then never went for anyone else. Surely there would have been a list of 4/5 options for a centre back

Michael Beale's list of options for a key area

1. Trusty

2. Balogun

End of list.

Firstly, I think you’ve missed his point. The point was we dont budget for Champions League football.

Secondly, you cant say we’ve over spent based on Europa League football after xmas when it’s September and we’re literally a day out of the draw.

And lastly, if we dont have European football after xmas given the draw we’ve just had, with 3rd place dropping into the conference, then we’re in serious shit.

Because its not guaranteed its not a good way to run a club just like budgeting for cl football wouldn't be a good idea as we might not have that.

Are you seriously suggesting we’ve overspent in this window?
