I think it goes back to what you said in the first post I replied to mate, the lack of 'other treatments' are so lacking it is a quicker way for a GP to get some help to a patient. There are many ways to help and obviously if someone can do without medication then great but I would not want anyone to think that it was not a good option as well. We are not in disagreement just looking at it from different angles. Leeds_Bear, KingKirk, DiamondBear and 2 others

The other services have been so badly underfunded for over a decade now that it can be 6 months or more before you can speak to a mental health professional. For a lot of people that’ll be too late. Medication can make an almost immediate impact and genuinely saves lives. Sparkle, Bears r us, BlueSuedeSambas and 6 others

For adhd assessments the now it’s nearly a year wait which is fucking bonkers due to the other symptoms that arise with that, such as anxiety and depression so people often with other mental health conditions really need access to the proper mental health teams. GPs can’t even prescribe the drugs, it has to be done after a proper assessment, and for some that can be too late as they can’t cope with the symptoms any longer. the mental health side of the nhs is in a sorry state tbh as you say due to underfunding and neglect J-Maestro, 16BlueSherbert90, DiamondBear and 6 others

ZZed 4,510
Could the donation be open for another 10 days and that will be 1 month since Ben left us. This would allow people who have not heard time and give us a bit more space to discuss the options with the family. I would want something permanent at Ibrox for him and then the rest used in so way that his family are content with. I feel pulled all over the place writing this as he was too young. Popular Post psb07158 33,705
Hi all I've *finally* had all of the money from the fundraiser land in the account - had the bulk of it a few days ago but it didn’t make sense to sort until all the money was in. The net amount is £10,086.83 after JustGiving's fees The premium Rangers paving stone is £499 That leaves us with £9,587.83. Per the poll, the 2 charities I have donated the money to are the Kris Boyd Charity (£4,794) and Erskine (£4,793). Thank you everyone, a fitting tribute to Ben folkestoneger, VERITAS VOS LIBREBETS, RFC55 and 43 others
