Not sure how we’ll set up next week. Between him, Sterling, Diomande we’ve got legs in midfield.

Lawrence doesn’t have it in him to press and shut down McGregor though.

Diomande does though, it will be the cup final midfield except barron in for raskin hopefully

Next week might come down to whos fullbacks shit the bed first tbh

Thought today looked like a trial for how he wants to set up for next week. Tav after the first 25 basically played the game at inside right cdm. Presumably so we don’t leave him one for one vs Maeda.

Unfortunately the only one in the squad capable of reigning in maeda is sterling imo, leaving it for a centre half to drift oit wide is suicide as souttar isnt anywhere near good enough either

Zero chance of Barron getting bullied by their midfield next week.

The wee man will be in about them.

Hopefully the guy that stops letting that bug eyed cunt mcGregor have the run of the midfield in these games.

He’s been brilliant. He’s also the type of profile that we have turned our nose up for far too long (Lewis Ferguson anyone). There’s definite talent in the Scottish game and we need to make sure we are picking up gems like this more often who shine with better players around them.

Smashing wee player buzzing about that midfield like Stuart McCall, here’s hoping he can be just as influential.

A bold claim to compare a player to McCall considering his incredible work rate and range of passing, and as you said; influence.

In Barron's case I think it is a fair and justified comparison, which is huge credit to Barron and his showing so far. McCall had far superior players around him to what Barron has so going forward it will be good to see how much we can improve the team all round and fullfil the potential of the likes of Barron and Diomande, who I also rate very highly and hope both achieve greater heights at Rangers.
