Olympics 2024

Thrilling end to the women's Heptathlon. KJT ahead by 45 points before the last 2 events. She's equaled her PB for the javelin, but Thiam is much stronger in this event. She should be ahead after this, going into the final event, the 800m.

KJT is by far the faster of the two though, so it will be a case of how much clear distance she can put between her and Thiam. 800m is at 19:25. Can't wait. KJT has never won an Olympic medal, but is in gold contention in her 4th games!

Would love to see KJT get gold but tbh I think the gap is just a little too big for her to bridge, she'd need to run faster than her pb and hope Thiam goes slower than hers. Hope I'm wrong though and will be cheering her on like fuck anyway later.

KJT did bloody well

...and so it proved to be! Such a shame. When you think of it she only needed another 37 points to beat (the then) double Olympic champ. That's another few inches in the long jump or 1 second in the 800. I don't know what more she could have done though, PB's in just about all disciplines. It was a phenomenal effort.

Glad she was smiling at the end of it, she was wanting any medal before this but after day one, she would have (rightly) got a bit carried away. Really happy for her!

Credit to the Australian breakdancer who has a PhD in breakdancing and it's culture, and is a university lecturer in hiphop.

She scored nul points.

Outstanding.

6% on the 100m sprint is wild 🤣🤣

6% of people think they can run under 10 seconds

It just goes to show you the delusion of the general public.

I think it's because pro athletes make things look so easy that people don't see how hard things are.

If I was to pick a sport that I would least make a fool of myself, I think I'd pick handball. Potentially road cycling or some sort of shooting. I still a twat though.

Tbf those 6 % have got lots of training in running from the police so probably not far off running 10 seconds 🤣🤣
