Is Butland’s form becoming a problem?

honestly mate when he was first mooted and got his interview i wanted him no where near us but now...???

At the very least he would make us hard to beat with a very obvious style of play and game plan.  Don't think he would take it if offered tbh but someone who can do a Walter and build a solid defence before anything is exactly what we need imho

The speed of his change in form has been mental. A couple of months ago he had Southgate scouting him for the England team, now it seems like he's struggling to get the basics right.

Dont know if its a confidence issue, but he's not been the same since that fuck up in the cup final.

When the players in front of you are serial losers, its obvious that at some point youre gonna drop performance as well. Im not defending him, even though the Cup final was a serious mistake, it can happen to anyone. But yesterdays 2nd was bad, and his position was awful. Yes, defenders should have closed Kyogo down, knowing that he can hurt us, but they didnt.

He fucking beat them twice last season and got a draw at the chamber of secrets......with Killie.

He's certainly an upgrade on the Aberdeen version of McIness.

He actually done a consistent job at Aberdeen to fair and I just see Kilmarnock as him carrying on precisely what he was doing at pittodrie

At certain points when we were in lower divisions there was points where he looked like he may have challenged Deila's Celtic team and had the beating off them at pittodrie. Then it did take us to Gerrard's first season to eventually finish ahead of them again in the league.

I honestly think he's just another name to add to

Tav, Goldson, Lundstram, Barisic, Morelos, Kent, Aribo, Kamara etc etc..

We should have sold at there peak.

To add another negative. That's exactly what they did with the likes of van dijk, Tierney, wanyama etc... and as a result, they were able to reinvest and their bank balance means they now no longer have to sell.

We are fucked unless we get investment in the club.

The second ones a shocker. Commentators were raving about it as if it was a brilliant goal but in reality it was just really shite goalkeeping

Its going along the ground from way outside the box and nobody is blocking his view. Piss poor

Sutton said in commentary that Butland would need to take a look at himself, or something like.

Same guy that was asking the board for assurances about our ambition is happy with his performance. Fuck off.

Said elsewhere, the board ought to be asking HIM a few pertinent questions!

Posted in the match thread that a mate of mine had met him earlier in his career & found him to be the most arrogant bastard he’d ever come across.

Number of times he’s now getting found out from outside the box tells me he has issues with positioning, concentration or (given the arrogance) he doesn’t think there’s anyone in this league who can beat him from range.

Furuhashi has different ideas.

Only ever scored 4 times in Scotland from outside the box.

3 of those v Butland.

When will the penny drop?

Wow!

That's unbelievable
