If a new manager was coming in and having to pick a new captain Tav probably wouldn't be my choice but I don't see what stripping him of the captaincy achieves although I want Patterson to get a prolonged run in the team.

Maybe as has been mentioned in past threads we should try and find a way of getting Tav and Patterson in the same team, it's working for Clarke in the Scotland setup with Tierney and Robertson so why not give it a try?, if it doesn't work so what at least we gave it a go.

  2. So what's the point in taking the captaincy from Tav ATM, when there are no alternatives?, the two main names mentioned are Jack and  Goldson, why? Goldson wants away so what kind of message does that send out and after his comments yesterday fucking mind boggling, as for Jack until he can prove to have got over his injury problems then again what's the point? and TBH I'm not even sure I would have him as captain anyway, to me a captain has to be inspiring and be able to drag a performance out of others around him when things are not going well, as good a player as Jack is in his role I've never seen that in him.

We're fucked at the moment in the captain material department and have been for years.

    In my lifetime Davie Cooper.

If he was born 25 years later he would have been acknowledged as a world class player and probably played for a Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Aye you're bang on mate, it was to his detriment that coops had to suffer playing alongside a lot of mediocre players for most of his time with us, always two moves ahead of everyone around him, no wonder he couldn't be arsed a hell of a lot of the time he played, just wish the Souness revolution happened a couple of years earlier then we would have all seen what the real Davie Cooper was all about.

Any word on who is coming with Gio other than Roy Makaay? Obviously there is talk about this coach in China but do we know of anyone else joining straight away?

As we have quite a few spaces to fill in the support staff. If Gio isn’t bringing a whole team then I hope Wilson headhunts some quality sports scientists / set piece coach or whatever needs filled as they are almost as vital as Gerrard was in keeping the club at a professional level.

Looking for someone with laptop experience for the dugout.

  5. Was murder for us vertically challenged ones back in the day, always found a good spot right up until about 5mins till KO when inevitably that big 6'5" gorilla would make is way in and stand right in front of me (cunt), standing on tip toes the rest of the game trying to see over shoulders, atmosphere was better I'll admit but I have to say it was nice when all seated stadiums came along and I was able to see what was going on.

I know there are around 200 .Not sure how many victims have had successful convictions through the courts .I would assume you would need to have went through the court process to be in line for a claim .

I wonder if they have any insurance to cover them

    Super had his say:

“Stopping celtic doing 10 is as high on the list as you can get.

"But, being brutally honest, there is a bad taste in some of the supporters' mouths about the way it has happened.

"Particularly after that interview where Emma asked the question, as she should. That's her job.

"The answer implied 'I'm going nowhere'. I think we can all agree on that."

His answer to her will haunt him forever, no one will ever trust a word that comes out of his mouth again, gone from a man who was viewed as having high integrity to just another common liar

Im afraid thats where football fans get it wrong. There isnt really true integrity among managers and players. Its all talk. They will always put themselves before the club that employs them. Every single one of them and we shouldnt get sucked in when they come with their shite about "taking the club to my heart". Walter Smith was the last of a dying breed in that regard.

I know and normally I agree with what you say but somehow Gerrard sucked me in and I believed that he was better than this, at my age you'd think that I would know better.

Bitterly disappointed today, didn't think SG would leave in this manner, not even halfway through the season. Walked away, nothing more, nothing less. WE look to the future, not back.

This is what has pissed me off more than anything, he really sucked us all in with his "man of integrity" personna, only to eventually show that he is no lower than a snakes belly.
