Just like the way people call Barry Ferguson for example an arse of a man (but acknowledge what he achieved as a player) but that doesn't stop you moaning about slagging ex-players off. As I said your a hypocrite. 

As for the last bit in bold there's no hypocrisy here. In fact your clutching at straws. I only bad mouth a player if he's done something to upset me. Gascoigne hasn't so why would I get ripped into a Rangers legend who's never upset or offended me? I always give my reasons if I've something bad to say about a Rangers player. 

For the record (and you know I can't stand McCoist with a passion) but if someone used him as an extreme and unjustified example to try and get someone like Griffiths off the hook I'd be saying the exact same things. Gascoigne, McCoist or whoever - it doesn't matter a fuck.

If people think that Griffiths being in an advert is disgusting because he's a racist, then yes I'd expect them to take a similar stance towards any other high-profile footballer (retired or otherwise) convicted of a racially aggravated offence. 

I think folk should make up their own mind what is acceptable to them. If they think it's that bad he should be shunned that's their choice.
