Thinking it may be out of consideration to Graeme Murty. Perhaps they still have to tell him he's no longer in the running. Murty the fantasist probably still thought he was in with a shout of the job before today's abomination.

Yeah, I suppose that makes the most sense, and it seems very like our board to offer someone the job without letting the interim know he’s finished first.

Spot on. I’d take Robinson from Motherwell right now, because if nothing else we’d be in cup finals and wouldn’t get bullied...

Gerrard is going to be a complete and utter train wreck, just like Caixinha, and Murty. It’s a no risk appointment for him, when he fails he’ll still have a reputation because we’re completely fucked as a club.

Robinson fuck me you being serious

The only thing he's torn is his stomach muscles laughing at how shit we are

You simply cannot compare Robinsons work at Motherwell to managing Rangers, how does Robinson deal with teams that park the bus against him?? how does Robinson deal with the pressure of having to win every single game? how does Robinson deal with a hostile media commenting on his every move? How does Robinson deal with a fanbase that will be wanting him sacked should he lose two games in a row? there is very little comparable in football management to being Rangers manager.

Gerrard may or may not be a train wreck but that applies to any manager we appoint. If we were to appoint Neil Warnock even with all his experience, he would never have experienced anything like what he would at Rangers.

suggest Gers have no better than a 50-50 chance of getting him to quit his role as Anfield academy coach reports down south.

Thats what they are reporting on its not coming from them.

Let us be clear if there is one publication who know nothing about Steven Gerrard thoughts it is them, he like most Liverpool supporters completely boycott that paper.

I AM FUCKING SICK OF READING THIS SHITE OF HIM DEMANDING RESPECT

I tell you something, that player respect will last 10 fucking minutes as soon as the players realise he is tactically naive

Players are not stupid and this is their profession, they will know when it's a rookie they're talking to and when it's a seasoned professional

So what you're saying is Gerrard knows fuck all about tactics, but the players under him do?

That’s a good point, nothing from Steven Gerrards camp will be getting fed into the media through the sun.

Their Scottish reporters did with information from the Rangers side, but their latest stories are trying to let on they know what Gerrard himself is thinking pure bs. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Sun if he is appointed manager, he personally will have no interactions with them.

I'm no ITK but one rumour doing the rounds in Liverpool is that Xabi Alonso is being spoken to about taking over the U18's job.

The more experience a person has the better equipt they'll be for the pressures, expectations, and massive job at hand.  Gerrard will be thrown right in at the deep end with a massive task in front of him and as first jobs go it's not a good fit for either party.

Another one :duh:

Imagine you knew you had to study under a rookie teacher, and he was using unusual teaching methods, if those methods were not working, what would you think? He's a shite teacher. You would not look at his credentials, or qualifications.

Does this mean the teacher knows fuck all about the given subject? No

I would say that the more experienced players will know a lot about tactics etc, those are the players that are difficult to win over. But this is the thing, these are the players that are the most influential in the dressing room.

If they see strange or naive tactics it will not take them long to lose their trust in Gerrard - even if it was a good idea that just needs to be adhered to for a while to bear fruit.

Unbelievable

It happened with McCoist did it not?  A manager that is clueless and a team of players who probably know better.  Same could be said about Warburton and Barton, or Murty and Miller.

A unproven u18 one at that

I'm honestly starting to give up replying to people on this forum, if people do not understand why experience is so important component which significantly alters your performance then what's the point?

It's like people are so blinded by their want for a big name at Ibrox they lower their IQ to make it easier to accept it is a good idea and bolster their crappy arguments.
