Our wonderful completely agenda free council have to shoulder the blame for the state of the area around Ibrox.

The rhebel however could have used a photo showing areas a lot worse but why miss a chance for a sly dig at us.

Probably the only folk that will recognise Ibrox from that angle is us and the scum.

I can see your point that once you know it’s Ibrox, then it could show that the Rangers fan base are all from a certain demographic.

What do you think their use of the picture means?

What has a picture of a young mother and child walking past Ibrox have to do with low income families? What is the point the journo is trying to make ?

Why not use a picture of Govanhill etc where families on low income live ?

We would be laughing if it had been a picture of the scumdome.

Everyone knows what it is, it's a means of linking something negative (poverty) to us for no reason other than their hatred and they enjoy antagonizing us.

Dehumanization was a very accurate term for it, I'm sure D'art did an article not too long ago.

Our club is in a good place right now, and they hate it. Expect things to get cranked up against the club, support, SG himself as the weeks pass. They need to find a way to get under our skin as a club and they're struggling. Which pleases me no end. I feel their pain and smell their fear. We're coming.

Don't think the pic of the state aid funded scum way or whatever it's called would have the same impact of expressing poverty.

Have you spent much time in Ibrox/Govan etc?

Don’t think it’s too controversial to say it’s appropriate to use the area as an example of low income households...

Yet no houses / flats in the pic.

Just a bit of barren land and stadium. Any one of us could walk less than half a mile and find evidence of deprivation far more relevant.

Ibrox and it's close proximity arguably have less evident poverty and deprivation than many other parts of Govan.

That particular image isn't used to represent Govan (also far from worst area in Glasgow) it's to link the issue to us.

If the SNP FM Nicola Sturgeon can't/won't sort out her own constituency, why would we expect a SNP controlled council to sort out/improve the area around Ibrox?

Iv said it before . . . The SNP dont care about their constituents or the people of Scotland.

The SNP care about the SNP

"The research brands Glasgow’s Canal ward as the most deprived area of the last 40 years, taking in Possilpark, Milton and Ruchill.

The council ward which featured most often was Calton, including Bridgeton and Dalmarnock - and Calton had six of the 100 most deprived 'cells' in Britain.

Easterhouse, Pollok and Springburn were also named in the study".

Totally an agenda here. Obviously everybody will recognise that’s Ibrox regardless of it being photographed from an angle that is rarely seen and will make the link that Rangers are dirt poor despite spending millions of pounds on players this summer. Everyone knows we haven’t got a pot to piss in and are getting by on crisis loans every week and apparently our name is now used in some parts of the country as a colloquialism for being skint.
