MrMckee 3,424
Can we please go back to this CB pairing when goldson is fit (hopefully weekend). Worral has made too many errors and McCauley hasnt got the pace anymore. Really don't know what it's gonna take to get back to when we looked the most solid at the start of the season! He's been a bombscare with mistakes just as costly as Worrall's. People seem more inclined to forget about them because Katic started so well though. Yeah. Although even when he does people are far more forgiving of him. Even in the friendly he was culpable yet it was all about Worral. We need a quality new CB for next year unless Katic takes a dramatic upturn.

Popular Post SuperLeeMcCulloch 2,330
The couple of stinkers he has had he has been subbed instantly basically, Worrall makes constant errors but still finds his way into the team. Forgetting Katic's personal problems for a moment and looking at it purely from a football perspective, the day Gerrard dropped him for the Villareal away game which at the time was our biggest game of the season was the day his confidence was shot to pieces and who can really blame him, replaced by an absolute donkey for fuck all. jintybear, barrymorrison1, SeparateEntityMyArse and 4 others

You're right but he's still played moire games for us where he's played well than he's been poor imo

No way do I want a CB who's confidence is so easily dented. Gerrard goes on about players who have what it takes to play for us in a mental sense... that's not it. I get that as well but think its understandable for a young boy in a foreign country to be knocked by that, especially when the manager is gushing over him one minute then dropping him the next. BigBearButt 3,651
Difference is katic can score at the other end too. He seems to be the only cb we have who is a constant threat at set pieces hawkeye, Blumhoilann, Amokachi and 1 other
geronimoo 1,474
At least Katic knows where to stand and what to do in the box when we get a corner. Blumhoilann

You have to judge him on what he is when he gets a chance and every time now he looks like a rabbit in the headlights from the off. As opposed to Worral who struts about like he's the dug's baws even after mistakes. Either way both are dodgy. Maybe Katic will find a way to get back to where he was, but based on any time he plays since Villareal, he isn't doing any better than Worral and is a massive risk. I'd play Goldson and McAuley at this stage probably. Without any great enthusiasm though. The Specky Forum Organiser

Have to agree, but it wasn't like last night was Livingstone - it was third in the table he should've been right up for it.

lee-irvine 53
Don't really rate Katic, think he gets dragged out of position far to easy and he isn't exactly great on the ball either. What last night showed was Goldson's value to the team as the other 3 options have all got a howler in them.
