Even now a days the only people you see online discussing Rangers players or signings potential religion are obsessed beggars foaming at the mouth that a catholic might possibly be signing for Rangers. That’s why I thought tbh mate, but my old man says, in they days it was good for a Scottish club to do well in Europe etc. Nothing like now when we despise them any minor victory (like we should)

It's only a couple of weeks ago that cunt Clarke at Kilmarnock said he was warned off signing for us because he was a pape. Then again, maybe that is what he thinks the beggar hordes want to hear. Horrible club inhabited by horrible vile people, and have been since the 60's. You only have to read the story and the whole list of bigots who queued up to give McNeill grief at the mention of sectarian schools. Obsessed then, obsessed now. Popular Post jintybear 8,660
47 minutes ago, Sparkle said: Sigh. They never miss an opportunity 🙄 https://news.sky.com/story/hail-cesar-why-billy-mcneill-is-all-time-great-of-british-football-11701823 Sky News journalist and celtic season ticket holder Andrew McFadyen explains why Billy McNeill, whose death was announced on Tuesday, should be remembered as an all-time great of British football: Billy McNeill was celtic's greatest ever captain. On match days, fans walking up to the stadium pass his statue, holding aloft the European Cup. It's a place to stop and take photographs with your children. You can forget about Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. celtic were the first British club to become champions of Europe, in 1967, and they did it with 11 players who were all born within 30 miles of Glasgow. I don't know if West Ham fans still sing about Bobby Moore at the Olympic Stadium, or if Bobby Charlton's name can be heard at Old Trafford these days. But celtic fans still sing about the man they called "Cesar". "There's only one King Billy, that's McNeill" echoed around Hampden Park during the recent Scottish Cup semi-final against Aberdeen - as it does at most home games. As well as the European Cup, he captained celtic to nine successive league titles, seven Scottish Cups and six League Cups. In two spells as manager, he won four more titles and cups. As football legends go, McNeill is up there with the greatest of them all. But the achievements of this big, strong centre-half went beyond what he did on the park. In the 1960s, working class Scotland could be a hard place with dark prejudices. Irish Catholics suffered widespread discrimination in many workplaces, from shipbuilding and engineering to journalism. celtic's biggest rivals, Rangers, were notorious for refusing to sign Catholic players. So, when celtic beat Inter Milan 2-1, in Lisbon, it made a statement that gave a whole community greater confidence and self-respect - and it still does today. Nobody can say you are not good enough when you are European champions and Billy McNeill represents you. More than 50 years on, what he and his teammates achieved makes everyone who cares about Scottish football puff out our chests a bit more. "Big Billy" wasn't just a great footballer, he was also a great human being. celtic's old training ground, at Barrowfield, was close to the Marie Curie Hospice in Glasgow's east end. My gran was treated there for cancer. Image:McNeill with the Champions League trophy at the group stage draw for the tournament in 2013 When my grandpa drove her up, he would sometimes walk over to watch the players train. I remember him telling me that McNeill, who was then the manager, came over to speak with him and offered a cup of tea. It was a simple gesture that meant a lot at a difficult time. Many families will have stories like this. celtic and Scotland have lost a giant of the game who will be remembered for his kindness and humanity, as well as his thundering headers. What the fck has that got to do with Billy McNeill? That bit and the bit about poor deprived Catholics?!!!! Popular Post SeparateEntityMyArse 54,281
When Phil O Donnell died the scum told the SPL they were postponing the Rangers game. They were distraught by the death of an extended scum family member who had left EIGHT years earlier. They had injured players at the time, who recovered by the time they beat us. Other clubs players who saw the guy collapse and die had to play their game. After initial spl refusal, their wish was granted and Rangers accepted this. When Tommy Burns, ex player and captain died, we were in Manchester. Our huge fixture backlog meant it was in their interests to play their next game without postponement, which they did. You see, "Tommy would have wanted it". They also had a mythical tour of Japan imminent that season and signed a player on the day of Burns funeral. Roll on to the death of their most decorated player and ex captain and manager in McNeill and they have requested the poignant action of,.... wait for it,...... all wearing the no5 shorts in their next game. No overwhelming grief it seems this time round, no inability to concentrate of footballing matters. For younger bears who dont appreciate that the scum have no morals, the levels of their depravity even outwith the child sex abuse aspect, and will do anything at any opportunity to manipulate a situation, the above is all true.
