celtic Face 25 actions regarding Historic Abuse

Recommended Posts

septic will pull every string they can to suppress this. They know the consequences of being known as the jimmy savile of football clubs, no one with any ability and plans for a good football career would  go near them as they would be tainted by this(except for those who are septic orcs already). septic know this and will call in every favour to kill the spread of this story but the internet is against them. I expect consistently low levels of reporting in Scotland and septic being obstructive and denying any responsibility/invovlement right up to the point when they can't.

Once a case is in court, the Judge decides on reporting restrictions. Given the Public Interest here, celtic will lose any attempt to suppress reporting.

A new trial date has been set for a man accused of indecently assaulting a teenage boy at Celtic Park in Glasgow and a second boy at the football club's former Barrowfield training ground.

Frank Cairney is said to have committed the crimes between July 1978 and December 1988.

He is also charged with indecently assaulting a teenage boy at a hotel room and in a car on various occasions between August 1988 and June 1989.

The 86-year-old denies all the charges.

Mr Cairney, of Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, will face trial in April next year and remains on bail.

He was due to go on trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court in January but the date has now been pushed back.

This should be how it works, but it won't.

Players sign for whoever pays them most.

Even if they get found guilty of everything it won't change the fact that any calling them out on it will be treated as worse than what they are found guilty of.

It will be in the news for a week, if that, the. The only people that will remind them of it will be us and a few other fans from other Scottish teams.

They won't get a single sporting punishment.

They will have to pay some compo, which will be disappointingly low compared to what the victims deserve.

Perfect example of players not caring about clubs reputations but playing for money is ,Bitton .He’s been at that club for years despite blatent anti semitism being rife and on very public display .

Attracting a CEO and keeping one might be different though .

And I as a public servant, and parent/citizen who HAS the LEGAL DUTY to report these CSA crimes that I had real knowledge of to the appropriate authorities, so that  the continuation of abuse by pederasts would stop. Complained about a team winning its 55th title.

Ive been thinking about this.  Does anyone know if the lawers of the CSA victims has tried to have the scums finances ringfenced?

IIRC it happened to us a few years ago during the tax/ebt stuff.

They shouldn't be allowed to spunk out millions on signings and high wages until every penny of compensation they are going to owe is paid.

There was also talk of non-reporting to the Stock Exchange.

As a plc, they are obliged to inform the market of any significant financial commitment (in or out) which could affect the share price.

To this point, they have not advised the market that, in the event of (potentially) hundreds of claimants, each entitled to tens/hundreds of thousands, many millions in compensation may have to be found.

The poster who brought this up said that this was effectively a breach of stock exchange rules.

No surprise as the rules never seem to apply to them.

Separate Entity could be saving them here .

They are adamant they are seperate and not liable .The exposing the separate entity as bluster and a myth will be damaging on many fronts for them

It all looks obvious to anyone with half a brain re: the separate entity argument, but we also know that the the law can be an ass and we should assume nothing, unless they go for a last minute out of court deal then they must have some form of defence up their sleeve that they believe will work in their favour if they are willing to take this all the way.

Not sure they can to be honest.

A ringfencing claim was placed on us because we at that point legally owed the money. We were appealing the decision, but at that point it was still an official debt on the books.

With the scum, they wont officially owe the money until/if they lose the case. When the debt becomes quantifiable, I think at this point ringfencing could become possible.

Not my area of expertise obviously, that would be all things covid.

Thanks. That makes complete sense. So when they lose that first case, they might expect a sunami of claimants to come forward, (over and above those who already have). Maybe then, their accounts will be ringfenced until all compensation awarded is paid.

Hopefully that nails them to the floor in a business sense, unable to develop their squad any further or attract the standard of pleayers they need.

That could be the begining of the end for that filthy institution.  Hopefully.
