Now promoted permanently to first team squad, the boy can seriously kick on.

The recent St Mirren, St Johnstone and Dundee games would have been ideal to give him at least 45 minutes but I trust Gio will give him chances in the months ahead.

No reason for Simpson to hang around now to be honest. We should be telling agents down south that we’ll consider “buy one, get one free” offers for him and Lundstram.

If Wilson can get rid of them 2 along with the other deadwood like Barker and Firth alongside signing Olsen and a backup right back then hes done one hell of a job.

Think he can play anywhere across the back line, but natural at CB.

Im taking this knowledge from Football Manager who rate him at 5 star potential. Know this is hardly reliable, but im choosing to believe it fully.

Sounds good to me MM 🤣👍🏻

Hopefully the plan is to offload Simpson and have King take his spot in the squad.

Gio have a lot of players chances at Feyenoord so hopefully he has recognised King’s talent quickly and has identified Simpson as a player who can be offloaded and replaced by King.

Good news but not a long entension?

long enough that if he becomes a transfer target we can continue to extend and command decent money and short enough that if he doesnt come good he's off the books soon enough.

Aye but at the same time the time his contract ends is probably when you'd expect him to be pushing for a regular first team place

Good news obviously just think it's a bit short

Couldn't give him any longer though. Any shorter and it's just a years extension.

I seen someone mention on FollowFollow that he’s grown to 6’2 and has started to fill out more. Obviously physicality and height is overrated in Scotland but CB is probably the exception to that you need both and it looks like King will have both to complement his natural ability.

Hopefully we see him get some game time this season. There is no use in continually loaning our players out to dross Scottish Championship teams it rarely works out for us.
