Only benefit in buying him now would be that if he has an absolute Stormer this season, he won't attract the likes of Bayern, but could start getting the attentions of EPL side. Leeds for example. If we have bought him already, and he has signed a contract with us, then they have to bid for him and we get the cash. If we wait till the end of the season, and the EPL side are circling, then agree to pay the £1.5m or whatever it is, then he is much less likely to accept our terms when he knows he can knock it back and get a move to the EPL on 3 times as much cash.
