Buy players with pace.

Pace has fuck all to do with it. They have players with fucking lightning pace- particularly the Japanese ones- that can actually complete passes and get into good positions to receive the returns.

We have cunts that run like a bull to the byline and either put in terrible crosses or run it out.

And don’t get me started on that fucking charlatan Kent.

Thinking you can win at the paedo dome with a 37 yr old in midfield, for the entire 90 minutes, I might add, is mindboggling. He went there looking for a tie just like he will on Tuesday in Amsterdam when that team is truly there for the taking right now.

What’s the other option given the injuries, start Scott Wright?

That result was predictable. Our midfield and defence are simply not good enough. Rank average Rangers team. Steve Davis and Alan McGregor, why are they still at the club ? John Soutter and Alan Davies why have we signed crocks ? Answer Ross Wilson the genius behind the football department.

Nah, we will probably nick a win on Tuesday. It’s next weekend we will probably be poor again

I think pace has a lot to do with it. Pace means you can miscontrol but recover, pass into space and the player has the pace to beat the other player, several players with pace make 1 2s easier and more likely, players with pace run past you and leave you for dead and open up space for themselves and others. Without pace you have to rely on keeping the ball and having a shape to deny the other team space as their pace will undo you at any time.

Bassy had many a howling touch but had the pace to recover most of the time, that is part of the reason he was so effective for us going forward and getting back.

Our central defenders have not got a lot of pace so square ball back pass and standing off players to give themselve time to recover to make up for their lack of pace is the name of the game. Our midfield lacks pace and the ones who do have it, have to pass back as the slow ones can't keep up or be fast enought to get into the space when needed and before it is covered.

Pace is not the only thing but without it, as we are, you get locked into a slow possession based game and in difficulty when you lose the ball. Right where Rangers are right now.

Hard to put it into words today, couldn’t believe what I was watching at times. The lack of bravery on the ball, composure, pressure, fight, desire and many other things was frightening. 3 out of the 4 goals come from totally switching off, how can you switch off in a game like that. This team/squad have had a lot of credit of the last 6 months for the European performances but domestically it’s been a mile off. Like two different teams at times.

Pace isn't the be all and end all... a lot of our players are just fucking stupid.

this whole moment here was an absolute joke start to finish.... a free kick and 3 players just standing there watching them kick it into a massive space down the wing, then just watch as it gets crossed on for the goal. Our players just waiting to see what happens.

It's a mentality issue.

I think you are right in that pace is not the be all, but we need it in all departments of the team. We are a team with little pace and it shows. I also think it effects our mentality and make us defensively minded. Unfortunately our defenders are not very good at reading the game so stand there watching to see how it is going pan out as they are not fast enough to get there. But you are right, pace alone will not solve our problems but we do need it in the team.

3 times they caught us with the same thing, throw in ? Take it quick, free kick ? Take it quick, the 2nd goal is absolutely criminal with Kent, Kamara and Lundstram standing moaning at each other while they are ready for it.

Its a collective failure from top to bottom, Gio will no doubt cop the flak for it but he has worked miracles with this team in Europe.

All for the praise but a collective bunch of shytbags when the going gets tough.

The filth seemed to be incredibly well drilled. Much more so than we are. They play balls into space not the man, as they know someone will be there or is making their way there.
