Popular Post Loyal72 12,323
Glasgow City Council have rejected proposals for a public house by former Rangers player Scott Arfield, located at 150 Copland Road, in what used to be the Wee Rangers shop and more recently Ladbrokes. Deemed unviable as it does not fall in line with the "development plan" for the City of Glasgow. What fucking pish. Be honest and say you don't want spaces for Rangers supporters, and would rather the place lay an empty fucking eyesore. plymouthranger, J-Maestro, Bad Robot and 5 others

Popular Post Negri's lovechild 14,583
He should have asked for permission for it to become a vape store or a charity shop. Thanks to the incompetence of GCC that's what they're reducing the city to. Mental as it would be a safe space, paying tax, bringing money into a part of the city that's crying out for more revenue to be taken and regeneration to happen. It does sound like an anti-Rangers decision. plymouthranger, 32Blue, Loyal72 and 4 others
BLUEDIGNITY 33,723
There’s plastic paddy drinking hovels all over the city now and in the last few years they’ve got rid of a good handful of Rangers pubs, speaks volumes.

They can't even use the excuse of residents not being for it, because the people in the flats above were consulted and approved, as well as businesses adjacent and surrounding, no one had an issue. Popular Post Drunk and disorderly. 14,737
The unit used to be a bookies and there is a William Hill's bookies directly across from it. 2 bookies within 30 foot of each other. What was their development plan for the area then? To make all the locals gambling addicts? No doubt holding out for yet another ice cream parlour to open up. One on every street in Glasgow now. You know the ones. Only open on weekdays from 10am to 2pm, 4 customers a day with a turnover of £3m per annum. Blatantly money laundering, but the gangsters who own them pay their rates on time and aren't associated with Rangers. Prso's headband 35,942
Not that Arfield will particularly give a fuck but he should come back with a new plan for a bookies/vape shop/charity shop and watch it be approved by the end of next week.
