Shankland meanwhile has entered his last year of his contract, would walk the m8 to come here, and scored v Spurs to get his preseason up and running. He'll face us in 2 weeks time. If we don't sort our this sorry mess we've got ourselves into then I just know Shankland will hurt us in the league opener whilst Dessers smiles his way through us dropping points. KyleBJK 929 Posted July 21 Share Posted July 21 Hate watching him, there was one towards the end of the first half a good ball got played into him and rather than open up his body to take the ball infront of him, he takes a shite touch, balls behind him allowing the defenders to get goal side and he hit the most powerful puff of shots. It’s actually embarrassing to watch. There’s no skill set there or any natural talent needed for the position he plays. He should have stripped him of the number 9 jersey at the start of preseason and made it clear that he isn't in future plans. It is clear the guy thinks the level of his performances are fine with his demeanor on the park and he is being backed by the manager with his continued selection as our starting forward. He was pathetic when he was here last season but at the very least you can sense the faint residue of technical ability in Lammers that Dessers could only dream of.
