It should have been done in the summer with a replacement RB lined up. Instead he'll be here until next summer and probably outlast another manager.

Everyone could see he was finished last season.

Yesterday wasn't a surprise how Clement thought anything would be different playing tav is beyond me.

He's money driven and unless we find someone willing to pay his salary, probably weigh him in with a cut for leaving, and other bits n bobs then he's going nowhere.

Rumour is he was told to find another club this summer but didn't. Kinda like Hagi but it seems not like Hagi in that he still gets selected.

He agreed to go to Turkey. The club wanted more money for him so didn’t accept there bid. It’s on the board he’s still here

We all knew this was at least one season too long for him. We knew it would turn toxic when the inevitable shite performances continued. Well, here we are and there's really only one fix short term. He needs benched ASAP.

Bizarre thing to say, and  I’m not wishing him ill, but he’d probably benefit from an ankle injury or pulled hamstring.

That would take him out the firing line, give his body a chance to recover after playing constantly for 9 years and allow this team to move on.

The phasing out simply has to start now! Sends him a message and maybe takes a bit of pressure off him. It cannot go on and if PC doesn't man up it's a desperate reflection on him too. To be honest we all expected this but I didn't expect the wheels to come off quite as soon. Rest him and use him against the lesser sides. He's done, sadly.

Was that actually a credible report? Thought it was just an unsubstantiated single report from one Turkish journo, saying the bid was €1m short but not saying what the bid was?

Currently 5.56% of RM need their heads examined.

I’ve just voted to bring that down to 4.55%, I want him to go as he’s done and surely to fuck he can’t play another game against them, His head must be absolutely frazzled that much that he has nightmares about Maeda ffs.

He should go but those shouting at him outside Ibrox is fucking embarrassing. He’s a Club legend I don’t care what anyone says.

So you would hold him in the same regards as Gough, butcher, John greig, Eric caldow, jock Shaw and the list goes on.  Many who won as many trophies in 1 season than tavernier has in as good as 10 years. That's before we even mention how many capitulations he's been involved in, telling the world he's a shite bag in match programs and his auro that clearly runs off in others.

Goes to show how far our standards have fallen when this guy is classed as a club legend.

Was documented by a few. Romano on twitter said Tav had agreed terms am sure.

He’s mentally done, was obvious from the first game of the season that he doesn’t want to be here anymore. We’ll be going nowhere with the armband and dressing room in his hands as well. Will be as simple as he wasn't going to get a good enough offer elsewhere.

It’s a shame in a way, he’s stepped up for us massively over the years and if we had a squad with more players of his ability he’d have a trophy haul befitting of a hall of famer. But he’s massively fucked it by staying as long as he has, by the end all goodwill will have eroded, if it hasn’t already.
