  1. I bet Rangers to beat Hearts 3-0. As soon as we score the 3rd I cash out, thinking that we're going to score more goals. Somehow I missed the Hearts goal, and I was cursing myself for cashing out so early. When I looked at the on screen clock, it had 3-1, I thought that this was a mistake. I was mighty glad to find out it wasn't wrong, and that I had done the right thing. I still don't know how I missed their goal??? Perhaps I nodded off for a few minutes? It happens..??

  3. I seem to recall that the attendances used to vary wildly in the sixties & seventies.

If we beat the taigs at the piggery, our next home game would have a decent crowd at it. If we got beat, there'd be a big slump in attendance.

Away days were better back then. Segregation was not quite as strict, and if the away end was full, you'd be able to get into the home end. There was always a big away support back then. I remember winning the league at Easter Rd when it seemed that the whole ground was filled with Bears, over 30,000 back then.

  4. When I was getting the Rangers tops regularly I used to wear the old ones to bed, as a nightshirt. They were washed every week, and tumble dried in the winter. They only started to become a problem when we changed to Puma, and the Strongbow peeled off after a couple of washes.I've not bought any since, and my kids have stopped buying me one for my birthday/Xmas every year.

When my boy was younger, we used to get him a new Rangers top, as part of his Xmas, and I always added a top onto the order, as we always ordered from Rangers online, or phone, and I'd get it from someone for my Xmas.??

They called him up last time and he hadn't even played at all so assuming they have again. It's the perfect chance for him to gain match fitness in competitive matches if he gets on the pitch.

Knowing our luck he'll probably get injured again?

  6. Many years ago we used to be able to stand in the jungle, right next to the Rangers end. Only a few hundred Bears were ever there, but me and my mates were always there. I don't know why we did it, because if anything kicked off between us, we'd have been slaughtered. There were too many of them. The police stopped allowing us access after an incident before a game when Bears tried to take over the jungle. The gate allowing us access into the jungle, from the Rangers end was shut for ever after that.

Four of us off our bus got tickets for the main stand at Parkhead, before the piggery went all seated. Rangers used to get a few hundred tickets at the bottom corner, closest to the Rangers end, at the time. It was shite. At half-time I went to the loo, and got kicked, punched, and spat on, by their fans. There was no segregation in the toilets and I kept getting a boot in the arse whilst trying to take a leak. I should've taken my scarf off before going, but was too young, and stupid to think of that.????

I think it's one of the more interesting accents in the UK. And on a guy like Gerrard it's charming :1120982233_SGsmile:

Worked with Scousers many years ago. There are different levels of Scouser. They don't all like each other, especially the "Woolybacks". Nobody likes them for some reason???

I think it depends on what part of Merseyside/Liverpool they come from...?

  8. McGregor has been terrific, the two games in Europe, and I'm ready to forgive, BUT NEVER forget, what he done.

As long as he keeps doing a job for Rangers he has my support, even though I never wanted to see him, or any of the other deserters, back playing for us once more.

We have to move on, and time heals our wounds, eventually, although some will need more time than others.
