Is this not the guy who flopped at bristol city last season? Can't say I'm excited about this at all. We need and deserve better.

I would have liked solanke and harry wilson on loan if the Liverpool connection was going to be used. Think that would have been adequate for us to challenge for the league but this is underwhelming

He failed to make an impact there and at Freiburg who he was at before. I think we should have held off and seen what quality loans would have been available later in the window.

Hopefully I will be surprised.

He is meant to be a good player on his day but runs hot and coldHope he doesn't turn out to be a Windows Mk II or this place will implode.

Hoping he's an XP at least, would be cracking if he was a Vista though.

10 players signed in 22 days.

Yet there's folk on here panicking like fuck despite another 6 weeks of the window left.

I totally agree, but I think it is now going the other way for some folk - we are signing so many players but no ‘Marquee’ ones yet.

Welcome to the club - hoping he can make a decent contribution. Let’s be honest though: a guy who could barely get a game for Bristol City last season isn’t going to make an enormous difference.

That logic doesn't always work though, sometimes players just don't fit into a certain system or style.

Could also make that argument for Goldson at Brighton and he has (imo) already vastly improved our defence.

Wait and see I suppose.

Anyway, welcome Ryan.

Check where the tweet is from. Guessing its a Man United fan behind it.?

I dont think it helped that he joined Bristol City as their form dipped, he seems to have got a large part of the blame by some. Interestingly, despite only using him sparingly, Lee Johnson spoke highly of him from a talent and training standpoint. The feeling was he struggled to integrate into a tight knit squad so not entirely his fault.

With so many new players it shouldn't be such an issue and he already knows a few that are here. I would like us to sign another striker rather than get a further loan player but think thats more likely at the end of the window than imminently.
