The Sun as well, it's obviously been leaked by the club
I think the opposite tbh. The club are silent so they’re taking a punt. If the club had leaked it the fan media guys, Chris Jack and others would have it.

I might be wildly wrong but I still think the Record/Sun are speculating based on the fact they managed to get Les Ferdinand to give them some quotes.
A lot in both stories don’t make sense, not least the Scottish assistant manager stuff.

Appointing Beale would be the Board thinking they’re appeasing the fans with someone who would be welcomed with open arms.
It’s lazy, unimaginative, backward thinking and would just sum up how badly we are being ran.
100% this.

Didn't some board members go for dinner with beale when he was up. That was the talk on FF at the time
Not sure. He was in the District for a few hours after the game

He might have come home of course but Beale put a picture on his Instagram story yesterday on holiday, I think in Dubai

The relationship can't be that damaged if they are meeting with him. I have a feeling it was more to do with Gerrard in the end.
Are they meeting with him?

I’d be surprised if it was Beale. It would take a lot of bridge building between him & the board given the way things ended last year.

Club have their replacement ready which led to the decision to fire Gio (decision made last night).
Not sure who the new guy is just yet. Only name I’ve heard (but unconfirmed) is Gerardo Seoane.

Even I doubted myself for a bit this week!
They had been talking to other managers which ties in with @STEPPS BOY so reckon we’ll have a new manager this week.
Caveat as always that the clowns in charge could easily fuck things up

What does King's loan repayment come under if not payments made during the year?
It’s noted in another part of the accounts

@eskbankloyal did the club 1872 report say that we’ve only paid SD 1.5 million of settlement so far or have i picked that up wrong?
That’s correct.
£8.2m settlement only £1.5m paid so far

Both the Daily Record and Sun suggesting he’ll be gone shortly. Record also saying King is coming over this week to ‘put pressure on the board’ 🤷♂️

6 minutes ago, Real Ranger said:But last season you say we were lucky, it wasn’t about finding a way to win.
We were on a very good run for me even if was basically got lucky for you.
We’ll have to disagree on that one.
The results were great but the performances weren’t.
The performances then stayed at the same level and the results fell off a clip.
This isn’t difficult.

There’s praise being heaped on ange but three of his wins this season have been achieved with injury time goals after shite performances against average teams by our league’s standard, he even managed to lose against St Mirren. Nearly as lucky as Gio last season.
Maybe I’m wrong believing the shocking run we’re on wouldn’t have happened had Gio had a full squad to pick from. I base my belief on his overall time with us.
Last season we were on a good run at a time they were rotten before they had a chance to bring in signings that transformed them.
Embarrassing Champions league group stage games, good achievement getting there. In hindsight it would have been better to have failed against PSV.
Playing poorly, as all teams do at times in a season, but still finding a way to win?

You mean put all our eggs in the mick beale basket for him to say no for the same reasons he told wolves 😂
Then we are left scrambling about and end up with Robbie Nelson or similar
His name hasn’t been mentioned. Given the reasons he and Gerrard left I’d be stunned if he’d work under this board & if they would even consider him.
He’s also lost 5 of his last 6 games at QPR

Do you have any sense of how far along they are with finding his replacement?
They’ve been sounding out some options, how realistic they are I’m not sure.
But does anybody expect us to get someone in quickly and without it becoming a saga?

43 minutes ago, Real Ranger said:You may well be right, in recent post match interviews he stops short of throwing the players under a bus but he can’t hide his frustration at their performances.
Even so if we’re judging him, it’s only fair to judge him on his time since day 1 rather than the last couple of months.
He took over Gerrard’s team that looked to be heading out of Europe and though we were top the league we weren’t playing well.
Then coming up to Christmas we were looking very good and celtic were playing shite with Hearts away and us at Ibrox to come, but to everyone’s surprise they seen an opportunity and played the sporting integrity card again. “Football’s nothing without fans” The games were postponed and they got players in that transformed their team whilst we got the Welsh crock.
Back to Europe and Gio was our genius manager. Out smarted teams with a fraction of their budget. Changed tactics mid way through games playing great attacking football all the way to Seville.
The league was gone but despite playing almost every midweek he still managed to win the SC knocking them out in the semi final.
This season we lost Bassey and Aribo. We started well with great wins in the Champions league qualifiers.
Since then the injury list has got bigger and bigger and Morelos came back from injury with a stinking attitude. The last couple of months have been horrendous but everything that’s happened over his year in charge should be taken into account before he’s kicked out.
I totally understand why so many want him gone but I feel if we get some players back and he’s given proper support from the board allowing him to bring in the players he wants Gio can turn things around.
The alternative is pay him and his team off and gamble on a new manager coming in and immediately bringing success to the club.
There is a fair bit of revisionism in there. His first run of games, the results were very good through to Xmas but the performances were poor and in hindsight were a sign of what was to comes. We were very fortunate to come away from both Easter Road & Tynecastle with 6 points & Dundee Utd at home was dreadful.
Europe was fantastic last season, and he was a kick away from folklore. But it didn’t happen and given the pitiful showing in the Champions League where we can’t compete due to finances whilst gaining 2 points from 9 against Livingston, St Johnstone & St Mirren, you’re domestic form is going to be brought into sharp focus. He’s won 8 of 17 league away games in 2022
The squad he (although not exclusively him) has assembled this year is a disgrace.

They’ve been talking to managers this week so looks as if we’ve reached the end.
That being said, talking is one thing… actually getting one in and sacking Gio is another.

McGregor doesn’t make many saves these days and McLaughlin is just a poor goalkeeper. Another mismanagement within the squad. McCrorie should be our keeper till the end of the season then a decision made on whether he is to keep that position or we need to recruit a new number 1.
