To me and many othes, sure we have a proud heritage but there's plenty stuff we can't relate to. I'm the 3rd generation of a Rangers supporting family from the south-side, who have followed the Pioneers since the beginning. I have very little, if any, affiliation to Northern Ireland or the troubles. I have seen someone trying to get people to stop shouting certain chants at a game 2 seasons ago, and she were forced to leave as she was being bombarded with rolled up papers, bits of pies etc for the game.
