Popular Post TheCutch 4,340
Been a fan of his since he first appeared for us. Like many, he suffered badly under poor management at times last season. But today I saw something that astonished me more than any piece of play we have seen from him so far. After his goal, which made it 5-1 with 10mins to go, he had a quick celebration then ran to Zander Clark to try and get the ball back. It was like we were chasing down a cup tie or an aggregate score. You just knew he felt there was another couple of goals available for us. It just proved once again, the mentallity this team has right now, and nobody shows that more than DC when he is doing things like this. Outstanding attitude... Popular Post Drumloyal 14,967
Speaking from personal opinions, I can't abide a top class player who will phone it in, give 80% and sometimes hide when adversity strikes. What I can support is an average player who gives his absolute everything, even if it falls just short. Put your body on the line, never surrender and we will back you til the utmost end. gsa 3,906
He's been a decent signing overall. Certainly works hard and has good aspects to his game but he's one of the only wingers I've seen who never, ever, beats a full back.

bluenoz 30,836
Fans always love tenacity over skill for some reason. He was definitely good yesterday and shows spurts of skill but overall game in game out he is a 6 out of 10 for me. Ejaria does't cover the ground Daniel does but he is far more gifted. It all depends on your perspective of a footballer I guess.

Was just away to post this ? pretty sure he was only chasing after the ball to do his celebration, which I'm guessing is he's going to become a dad. Morelos went chasing after the ball after it was kicked to the sideline to be replaced, to give it to Candeias to do his celebration. Coplandbear11 1,087
Moments of brilliance yesterday. Some of his touches and turns were simply class. Deserved his motm on a day where it could have been one of about 5 or 6 Marky.
DFChosenFew 13
One of his best performances in a Rangers jersey, linked up really well with Morelos. Hopefully keeps this level of performance up as his inconsistency lets him down IMO.
Tumshie 205
We're a better side with Candeias in the team. His pressing and his link-up with Tav on the right hand side are one of the strongest parts of the team. GlasgowsBlue
AGM_72 3,633
I rate Candeias for all the positive reasons people have listed already. I do think sometimes he can be a bit sloppy in possession at times with his passing or his crossing but by in large he's an asset to the team. I think sometimes his first touch, trickery and intelligence get overlooked at times - he takes up some great positions. Even in games like Villarreal on Thursday there, he was pretty poor but he kept working and he set up Arfield's goal - that attitude is so important. One of the good things this season is that we have the option to rotate him too. If he's not quite up to it, we have Kent and Grezda to play wide right as well - or even the 352 with Tav playing wingback. That kind of competition should keep him on his toes as well. Also - will always be thankful to him for missing that penalty against Killie which lead to Caixinha getting binned.
simplythebestest 2,145
In a team where Candeias is player of the season, that team isn't good enough. In a team where Candeias is in and around the starting eleven with a couple of options to replace him on an off day, that team is looking good.
