Kent, Aribo and Morelos were by far the worst with Kent way out in front. Said if Kent and Morelos kicked on from good game at Pittodrie we’d be fine. Sign them for 7.5 have them contribute, pay back most of their fee in helping us progress in Europe, win a league, make more money, sell them for a profit, grand job 7 million is the 2021 version of 4 in 2008 - Kent was the equivalent of us buying Laffery for what we did then, the markets changed. We will spend money on players, likely in that 6/7 million bracket again. It’s money the board decided we have they even felt happy to turn down bids for him, class eh...love the Rangers. Total knee jerk reaction and a bit embarrassing to read in all honesty. Did we overpay slightly for him, probably. But we’ve already knocked back bids for best part of double what we bought him for. He’s contributed in big games in Europe, Old Firms as well as many other crucial games. We will make a decent profit on Kent in the summer once we’ve won the league, which is the way forward for players like him. Would we like more from him? Hagi is a far better player than Kent who will leave for more money. I couldnt give two flying fucks when or where either player was signed. The fact is that one is a defender that cost peanuts and yet has looked our biggest attacking threat for 3 or 4 years now.
