Kent and Morelos out?

It's clear that Kent hasn't been fit for weeks. It was stated he played through the pain to.play against celtic, thats understandable because of the psychological effects. But once that was over he should have been recovering. He looked unfit against St Johnstone, even winning the penalty and setting up the goal, if he was fit it might not have been such a slog. Then last night he was sloppy and pulled his hamstring potentially keeping him out for longer. Probably not the best management. I know he's Gerrards guy but the team is more important. I suppose having a few 'slightly easier' games will now allow other guys to get a run, with Morelos missing on Sunday too it's time for Sakala, maybe Bacuna as well to prove themselves.

Who ever is replacing Kent literally can't be worse than what he's given us this season, same with Morelos tbh. We still have Roofe, Aribo, Wright, Sakala and Defoe off the bench if we're really struggling and more than enough to beat Motherwell on Sunday.

Shame but he’s been injured for a while now, was always going to happen. 
 

Him and Alfie haven’t given us much output in terms of goals/assists, so it’s an opportunity to get Sakala and someone else in the side for a couple of games. Hopefully those that come in do well, because Alfie and Kent haven’t been at their usual best since last season.

What game were you watching man🤦, every decision he made last night was the wrong one, running to the man that had the ball instead of trying to make an angle for him, general touch, everything was off, he's a shadow of the player from last season.

I was at it, so hopefully the right one.

Didn’t say he played well (think he was just alright), but you could have had Ronaldo in there and we wouldn’t have scored. Gave him absolutely nothing to work with. Not one decent pass or cross to get on the end of all night.

Kent will be out and he will be a miss regardless of form, he still created last night with that good shot and setting up Lundstram after beating two Lyon players at the corner, Morelos will be fine he's never really injured.

Definite loss but it has became apparent his form has been hampered carrying an injury for weeks. This will open the door of opportunity for someone else to stake a claim for a shirt and hopefully provide the spark that has been missing so far for most of this season. A fully fit and rested Kent returning and looking to win his place back is something to be optimistic about…

Yes. he is off form but he is still creating and working hard it's just not happening.  it gives Wright a real chance or even the elusive Bacuna.

Kent hasn't been himself at all all season, like he's been carrying a knock.  Last night was the first I can remember this season where he actually went on a proper bombing run and he's pulled up.

Time for others to step up. They need to prove Morelos and Kent getting picked due to what they have done previously/ are capable of is wrong and undeserved. Prove they themselves deserve the jersey as theirs for what they deliver here and now.

The fact that he's played through injury to help the cause says a lot about the young fella. He might not have been anywhere near his best but the scum are shit scared of him and he freed up space for others in the old firm. Last night, he was sloppy on more than one occasion and had a bad hand in both goals against but also came agonisingly close to getting us back into the contest, but for a fantastic save from their keeper. He definitely needs a rest but mainly to get him back to full fitness. Whe he's fit and on form, he's the best we've got. Playing unfit athletes is a management issue, not the player's.

Ryan Kent is the biggest talent in the league.. Fuck knows whats happened? Lets hope this is a blessing in disguise and he comes back firing! Good chance for a couple of boys to stake a claim.

Thought Alfie was really good 2nd half last night, whether its a good or bad thing, without him in the starting 11 we have to change our game plan, Roofes not  a bad replacement.

It is sad , but for a different reason. Manager does not seem to drop players that are under performing or need a rest. No point having a good squad if the manager plays his nominal first 11 regardless of form.
