Gio done magnificently in Europe last year and to qualify for the CL however that only gives you so much credit especially when the domestic performances have been questionable. Never like seeing a manager sacked but unfortunately I don’t see him turning it around. His football is very negative and I don’t see us progressing with him at the helm but Ross Wilson and most of the board should be out on their arse too.

Although obviously not the whole problem a lot has been said about the zonal marking and Mark Hately made perhaps the obvious point last night that when he was playing he always made a point of standing beside the defender who was poorest in the air ...so what's the point of zonal marking if it's as easily unpicked as that?

His comments about needing millions to compete almost gives his players an excuse for the performance. You dont need millions to jump in the air at a corner you don't need millions to run and compete against you direct opponent. We come up against teams week after week who have a budget that's a fraction of ours but they still give us a competitive game.

Gio is too nice and mild mannered. You need a tough manager at times who'll boot arses. Jock Wallace, Souness and Walter would have been raging after consecutive 4-0 defeats, I doubt Gio would have even raised his voice
