bluenoz 31,285
We at GCC would like to thank the Celtic fans for their joyful and peaceful celebrations yesterday. As with any mass gatherings, there will inevitably be some litter and rubbish left on the streets. We would like to thank the Brazen Head pub for their assistance last night. A proportionate policing plan was in place which facilitated the gathering, prioritised public safety and sought to minimise disruption to businesses and communities. “While there was an unacceptable level of anti-social behaviour and littering there were no serious incidents or disorder. "There were some outbreaks of minor disorder and our officers acted swiftly and robustly to prevent escalation and protect safety. Over the course of the evening there were six arrests for offences including assault and acts of public disorder. A further four people were issued with fixed penalty notices." No mention of the criminal damage then

Popular Post beararse 6,476
Looking forward to reading about the bill for the clean up exercise, the toll it’s taken on those poor street cleaners having to work another full day cleaning streets on only triple time, and in particular, the repair bill as a result of breaking and entering, then vandalising an Historic Scotland Category B listed building. No doubt the fixing of the odd bench wrecked during the 55 celebrations will cost more than the highly skilled restoration works at the illegally occupied Mercat Cross. islanderbear84, 16BlueSherbert90, Bears r us and 3 others
