It was a mix of first and Academy team players in this afternoon’s squad as the Light Blues completed their pre-season preparations ahead of next weekend’s league campaign opener at Livingston. A striker, a GOOD one is a massive thing we need. I think Gio is too defensive, especially in the domestic games. We need to start with just 1 holding midfielder at the weekend or I can see us drawing. Also, a man on the post a corners has to come back and get rid of the zonal defending. If I was putting out a team against us I would have a front post runner to flick on for someone running in to the box. It looks like the easiest way to score against us. I think Lundstram and Kamara as you’re two CMs, and allowing their forward 4 to go and create is fine for the majority of domestic games. A striker to support Colak is a must right now.
