He can say he isn’t going anywhere as much as he likes, as soon as they get pumped in Europe again next year and we get a grip he will be looking at the money in England and wanting out. At the very maximum i think he will be there until January.

What the hell have you seen to give you that impression?

The signings Beale has made so far and he’s just in. We need to match them with the signing of guys like Raskin and Cantwell. 20-26 range. Back him in the summer (punting deadwood first) and he will fix us.

Why would an English team look at the fat Aussie with his European record, winning in Scotland especially now in the worst premier league in living memory means fuck all outside this country.

Rodgers got Leicester on that very basis.

Not really. He had a track record in England, and had managed one of the biggest teams there.

Indeed he did. That’s a fair point, but his record in Scotland was one of domestic trophies and tankings in Europe, so the similarities are obviously there.

Rodgers had a good track record in England and came closer to winning one of English Football's biggest clubs their first Title in the EPL era, it had very little to do with what he did with them.

He’s never really been that good in Europe either tbh.

Apart from getting Leicester to the conference semi his record at Liverpool and Celtic was pretty poor.

This. All that shite in the media bigging up "Ange" when the reality was Leeds were never ever interested in him. His European record is utterly appalling. Under his tenure in his first season Savco became the first club to be knocked out the CL EL and ECL in the same season. This season they finished bottom of the arguably the easiest group in the CL. And suffered humiliation against Real, although apparently to the media up here Rangers losing heavily to Liverpool was an embarrassment but Savco losing 8-1 to Real was "going toe to toe".

Winning a title up here or a LC in what they see as a farmers League carries no weight whatsoever with clubs particularly clubs down south. Gerrard got the Villa slot not for winning 55 but for having some impressive European performances.
