Still a dreadful footballer but at least he tried a bit and contributed tonightย

He isn't a dreadful footballer as you put it....he has simply lost his way with us unfortunately, for me his time is up as he is sadly a shadow of the player we all fell in love with....two goals and an assist is hard to criticise but the majority know his performance was still lacking from days gone by

Superb display second half. Think heโ€™s looking in better nick physically too, bit slimmer and less round of face.ย

Always losses weight when he scores heโ€™ll be a ย fat waster again at the weekend if he doesnโ€™t scoreย

Kent said it best in his post-match interview last night, he's getting numbers just now and that's important - the rest of Alfredo's game, "we know the touches and small things will come the more he plays"

He's still miles off it, but particularly in the 2nd half we saw a few small positive bits from him

Tom said last night that Alfie is playing through an injury, firstly clearly is our only available striker. He tries these passes, when the come off, more often than not they do, they open up play very well for us. Unfortunately when they don't come off, the sellik first goal can happen. Must be honest would rather players try to play the difficult pass than safety first all the time.

Beale said about 3 games in heโ€™s playing with an injury that not many if at all any other player would play throughย

The problem is it is a stupid pass.ย  He could play it more diagonal and accomplish more or less the same result without the risk.ย  Kamara used to do the same pass under Gerrard at the beginning and now he doesn't.ย

Disagree. He's never been a good all round footballer.ย

He's best at what he did last night, staying on the last man and putting chances away. He's never been a good 'link up' player.ย

His terrible touch led to the corner for the first goal. And once again, he tried a blind pass across the field similar to the OF game. That's inexcusable.

But he took his two goals well, and that's more like the old Alfie although I still don't see him anywhere near the way he was two years ago.

The oned on here who have never played the game giving their usual quotes to my rightful posting.

Lazy and useless first half.

Different player second half, 2 good finishes, 10men killed the game....well nearly. We still nearly fucked that up too.

Miles off being in shape.

Much much better last night. Not just his goals but his application.

It was like someone had riled him or he'd been fired up. Same again by whoever it was for Saturday please.

You know Alfie is up for it when he's snarling at people, kicking the ball at them off the ball, staring them down and then celebrating the way he celebrated.

Needs to keep that same fire in his belly for every game from here on.

To say he is a dreadful footballer Is a bit strong.....being a good footballer covers so many different bases with players having different attributes in the game, Morelos biggest attributes was he was a pest and never gave defenders a minute where he would pull them all over the park....I think he now has 118 goals in 250 odd games for us with only 1 penalty scored in that total.....at times a terrible attitude yes and discipline issues to boot, that's the overall package you get with Morelosย

He's no dreadful ffs. He won us the game yesterday, two goals and an assist.

That's what's annoying about Morelos though, is we know he is an absolute animal of a striker when he wants to be.

If he got the fitness sorted out, and fully focused on Rangers, regardless what he wants to do next, we'd be doing the damage. Colak and Morelos ripping into cunts.

Sadly, he's at half tilt. That's the kicker.
