If I'm the coaching staff, I'm telling him to be braver on the ball and more direct, because he is clearly a good athlete.

And it is a myth that he doesn't backtrack. I've seen him win the ball from unfavourable positions many times. 

Reminds me of the times when posters said Tillman was lazy. Both are not true.

Lawrence unfortunately was a liability for us before he went off. Don't know if Cifu made us more balanced, or just played well compared to him.
