Regardless of team selection we really need to be switched on and clever.

They’ll come out 100mph home crowd nice day etc.

We need to slow the game down and play at our pace early doors and settle into it.

We need to decide if we press as a team or the rest of the players watch Dessers run around himself 30 yards in front of them.

If we want to win we have to be at least level at half time, too many times we’ve gifted them goals in 40+ mins and it kills the game for us.

A disciplined performance is what we need and can hopefully sneak a 1-0

Need a tactical change. It's been said a million times this week, but I think a 3 man midfield is a must on Saturday. The last 3 games against them they've totally controlled that area of the pitch.

Problem is, unless big Abdullah makes it, we don't have a single player on the wings we can rely on.

Rabbi's got pace, but he's pish. McCausland offers nothing in the final 3rd. Silva, see Rabbi. And less said about Scott Wright the better.

Don't envy big Phil picking this team selection, but he can't start the usual 4-2-3-1.

Walter would go with his 4-1-4-1 and probably get that, maybe better if one of their defenders got himself sent off

If Sima makes it, Lundstram in front of the defence and a mid 4 of Sima, Diomande, Sterling and Lawrence would actually be quite strong

I feel like every team we play controls the midfield against us. It’s like our midfield are non-existent at times.

There is almost no chance this ends as a single goal game to either side

We definitely want to be on the front foot from the off...so I think the team should perform the 'haka' in response to their stupid huddle!...Thoughts?

Agree, think the haka is a bit far fetched tbh but would like to see the manager set the tone early with one of these…..

Wonder if he's given any thought to going with Lawrence and Cantwell off Dessers in a Gerrard like team because of how weak we are out wide

The main worry with that is how exposed Tav would be if we're using fullbacks for width and pushing them up the park link Gerrard did.

You'd be relying on Sterling and Diomande doing what Kamara and Jack did which is obviously a big ask. Just the thought of McCausland/Wright/Silva is absolutely grim.
