I've been saying it for years only for the stats brigade to jump to his defend.

If you take 20 corners, free kicks and penalties a game, the chances are you will get stats. But for every good ball played, there are ten overplayed or underplayed passes.

He has missed the most penalties in club history but his ego demands he take the next one.

When we are losing, he is no where to be found and some of his post-match interviews have been embarrassing for a captain.

He is the most overrated player at the club and is a big part of the problem.

In his defence, he has scored some crackers, is seldom injured and is a good athlete.  I don't dislike the man, I've just never been keen on the player.

Agree with what you say and like you have seen the same things you point out but what I'm having an issue with after that was the fact that Ryan Jack was the face on TV screens being interviewed after the game despite being out for months with an injury then coming on at half-time when the game was for all intents and purposes over.

Where was the Captain , shouldn't he have been the one to come out and explain what went wrong in that first half?

Instead it was left to Jack , who looked absolutely gutted , hurt and embarrassed , to explain away a first half performance that he never took part in.

For me that is not right at all. Doesn't matter what we think of the Captain or whether he should be Captain but after a performance and result like that I expect to hear from him.

It's more to do with the manner in how we lost mate. It could have been 6 at HT!!

    That's what is alarming.

On paper, I still think we have the better team but we have to go out and prove it.

Unfortunately the game isn't played on paper it's played on the park and time and time again the same individuals go missing when the chips are down.

There is zero fight in this team and don't get me started on Heart.

We're soft and when you're soft another teams think they can do whatever the fuck they like because they know you won't do anything about it. All you have to do is look at the last visit to Pittodrie to see that there is no fight in the squad and that certain players were soft that night and they're still soft this morning.

We all knew they would come flying out the blocks. Anyone who has watched a little bit of their games knows that and yet we sat off of them and gave them the freedom of the park to do what the fuck they wanted.

Our build up play was slow , laboured  and devoid of ideas and as a result we got shutdown every time we had the ball. How many times did you see two or three of their players surround our players carrying the ball? Our passing was terrible up at Ross County and it was fuckin woeful last night. The one good chance we had in that first half was a misplaced pass from Aribo that would have seen Arfield right in on goal. Score then we might be talking about a different result.

The bigger issue for me is that first half performance was the exact same performance as the semi final against Hibs to a tee.

Last season winning 55 was fantastic but it's done now and if we drop anymore points between now and the end of this month so will this season because I simply don't see the fight needed to come back from a 5 or 6 point deficit.

It’s a show with a planned narrative from start to finish, if any caller changes tack that paints a certain club (who pays to advertise with them on every break incidentally) they always have to finish for a break cutting things short yet never amazes me how much air time the many moonhowlers they attract seem to accrue. If anyone plans to listen then set your expectations low and you’ll never be disappointed….

    Well said that Man.

    Tom Brady officially retired

    https://www.nfl.com/

He'll make just as much money on one of the TV game panels from now on as he would've had he played on.

The money these guys make for being on these panels and doing Colour Commentators is massive and if he is half as good as Tony Romo is on the game calls that he does then fans over here are in for a treat because in the short time that Romo has done Co-Comms he has been sensational. He brings a QB's outlook to game calling.

  5. The Swedes must be desperate here.

IFK Goteborg have made a loan enquiry for celtic goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas.

It’s understood the Swedish club would need celtic to pay for the bulk of his wages if the move was to go ahead.

The Hoops are open to offers for the Greece international, who has struggled to settle in Glasgow and hold down a regular place at the Scottish Premiership side.

celtic signed Barkas from AEK Athens in the summer of 2020 in a deal worth up to £4.5m.

The 27-year-old still has two and a half years left on his contract.

  6. Imo we've unearthed a gem here.

The boy has confidence with the ball at his feet and looks like he can see a pass.

He's young and has a lot to learn but has a great midfielder in his Manager to learn from.

He has a very bright future in the game. Just needs to add a few pounds on in the right places and he'll be very hard to knock off the ball.

I always wonder how he's manager to keep a place in front of the microphone into his 70s when other stalwarts like DJ have been put out to pasture? There is nothing in any way exceptional or even competent about him so are we talking polaroid's here?

A Liewell placed man who when he got too big for his boots was banned from the bheastdome for a while to bring him back into line?

If so the ban has worked.

Gordon Duncan (celtic fan I’m convinced) fawns over him like a long lost grandad and the rest of the presenters aren’t far behind.
This is a man who was at the forefront of Scottish football journalism for decades and I have no doubt was aware of all of the abuse going on at celtic park (or at least suspected it). However, here he is on a program which was tripping over itself to welcome callers (east end tax experts and suchlike) to make comment during a police investigation when we had our troubles and refuses to talk about the celtic abuse case (largest in world football).
He drones on about his grandchildren however was he concerned of the countless grandchildren/ children who were being abused when I have no doubt he was aware and could have highlighted it. I’d love to hear him put on the spot if the ‘separate entity’ excuse stacks up?
Apologies, a bit off thread but the guy is an increasingly bitter one sided clown…

I would absolutely love for him to summoned to appear in court when these hearings kick off.

Let him have his say after being sworn in to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Gutted, still had no sleep,   What a game as you said, 10/10 for both QB,  if we had won the toss we would have won the game , but we have proved this season we are a match for the chiefs.

Its our own fault, we threw to many games away during the season, every tight game like this morning we lost by single points and the games we won we hammered the teams.

Nobody will stop Kansas now, but we will be back next season a better team and with a QB like Josh Allen the future can only be good for us bills fans.

Thats the sky sports NFL channel getting dodged and Madden 22 getting put away, the bastards beat me 49-42 on madden 22 just before the game started but half time came and went so fast as both teams went for it just a pity we had to be 10 down before we got our finger out.

I listened to a pundit this morning when asked if this rivalry building between Allen and Mahomes will be the modern day rivalry equivalent of Brady and Manning and he said absolutely. It's a pity that both are in the same conference because what a Superbowl that would be with both of them playing in it against each other.

One thing that goes without saying though. Right now those two teams are the best in the NFL.

The stats from last night for both were practically identical as well.

I banged long and hard last night about missed tackles by the Bills and there were a few but today over here their defensive coordinator is coming in for flack at the way he set the defence up to handle the last 13 seconds. Some are saying he gave Mahomes far to much room to make the long plays he needed to get into field goal range but the thing is if you come out and play an aggressive D then he could've picked you off with a winning TD.

We'll never know and that is the beauty of sport,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Unless that cheating bastard Clancy is the referee.

  10. One of the best games playoff seen in the NFL if not the best.

Buffalo essentially lost the game on the toss of the coin because whoever got possession first in OT was going to score.

Oh well next year will be interesting as Buffalo's offensive coordinator Dave Daboll is reportedly leaving now so we'll see what happens.

Every play-off game this weekend mate has been amazing. this one looks like it is going down to the wire as well.

Once again as i'm writing this the Bills inability to make a tackle when they need one is absolutely killing them here.

At last a a tackle and a beauty.

    Mon the Bills!!

I wish the Bills would make a fvckin tackle.

I've lost count of the amount of times they've had Mahomes and their RB dead to rights and let them slip away.

And as I write this Allan makes an unbelievable pass to draw the Bills within 2 of Kansas.

I've been convinced for many many years that there is a peadophile organization [not ring] that has been going on in the UK with members/decision makers  stretching all the way up into the higher echelons of society, ie: government, police, church, judiciary, intelligence etc. so powerful that anyone trying to denounce it is putting themselves in danger.

Horrible as it may sound I also believe that the cases against that lot from the east end is just a spit  in the ocean compared to what is going on throughout the country,If the full nature of peadophillia were allowed to be properly exposed the shockwaves would be enormous, I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist [honestly] but something just doesn't add up here .

Great post and , imo , accurate but I'd add in World after Country in your last paragraph as this isn't just restricted to Scotland.

Fuck seeing that Hayes on Barasic in slow motion - fucking terrible.
The club will do fuck all though

That is an issue that needs looked at.

Fuck this behind closed doors complaining , if that even happens.

Be up front about calling this out.

And another thing is these fuckin linesmen are getting away with absolute murder here. In these videos shown earlier in the thread all of them happened right in front of a lineman and not one was flagged and that is a bigger issue. WTF do they think they are there for?

Would be Glasgow Police if 74.

World cup was in West Germany that year and we qualified, so maybe Glasgow taking the chance to promote itself? Strathclyde came about in local gov reorganisation of 1976

Apparently it's the Shotts and Dykehead Pipe Band.

My late Uncle was the lead drummer for the Glasgow police pipe band and the Strathclyde Police pipe band back then and was inside the big ball with a few band members at the 74 WC representing Scotland at the opening ceremony for that tournament.

1.12 into this video and some of a certain vintage might remember this.
