Win the league this season and I'd go out and spend £10m on two centre backs to take us to the level we want to be at.
I don’t actually think it’s the CBs that we need to replace (yes, I know Goldson wasn’t at his best tonight).
It’s midfield and I think part of the CBs issue tonight was the midfield we’re all over the place - esp Lundstram. Their touch, control and calmness was seriously lacking.
That’s where I’d be spending the big money. Think we need a proper enforcer and someone with a wider range of passing (which even Kamara is really weak on, too).

Morelos will be weeks off match fit. Wouldn't start him in the return.
Yep, I’ve said it in the match thread. People are putting a lot of stock on Alfie, but he hasn’t played in weeks, hasn’t had a proper preseason and hasn’t completed a 90mins in months.
And, it’s Alfie. Not exactly renowned for being the fittest.
Think it’s a very, very big ask for him.

Lundstram
Kelly
Sakala
Itten
You’re two sitting midfields would see us being annihilated. That’s Champ Manager levels of team selection

Lots of people are putting a lot of stock in Alfie for next week. He hasn’t played in weeks, and hasn’t completed a 90mins in months.
It’s a BIG ask to think he’s going to be at his fittest, sharpest and rampaging best. Can’t see it.
The red cards from Slavia are haunting us. Really miss Kamara’s tactical nous and Roofe’s movement/instincts

Just now, DiamondDan said:The goal gives a lifeline but overall it was a shambolic performance. Doesn't bode well that the minute they're stuck in front of a crowd again and subject to any pressure they crumble.
For all the talk of strength and depth there was none on the bench and the front 3 were toothless.
Scott Wright is decent enough when Rangers are steamrolling shite in Scotland but will never be a player at that level.
Itten is hopeless. Seen nothing to suggest Sakala will do anything either.
The difference in that side when Morellos is missing is staggering.
I will tell you another thing, anyone that thinks the league is a formality is dreaming as well. Its amazing how quickly a bit of success has went to people's heads and they now believe we only need to show up this season for a clean sweep. This is the same team thats bottled it repeatedly in cups, that mental fragility doesn't disappear because of 1 league win.
Fuck off. After one pish performances. Talk about an overreaction

We could play all night here and not score. We’ve made an absolute cunt of it
-
Why are we floating crosses into the box against this mob?! They’re huge.
We needed to be getting in behind them.
Woeful. We’ve totally fucked this.

That’s a mental bench given how strong our squad is. The whole naming ‘homegrown’ players rule really fucks things up

Not my personal preference, though I wouldn’t be at all concerned to see it, but have a wee feeling we might see Arfield in tonight.
It’s near impossible to predict the line up these days, given our options. Nice problem to have in fairness.
McGregor
Tav Goldson Helander Barisic
Arfield Davis Lundstram
Aribo/Hagi Kent
Sakala
Can see Wright being left on the bench for bringing pace later in the game. If he’s fit, Hagi over Aribo for me. Strong enough to win, regardless. -

you cannot get gers tv for the away game if you live in the u.k
Use a VPN mate. Easy.
Why do you think the club partnered with NordVPN a while ago? They’re implicitly encouraging it and quite right too when you consider the poor coverage and blatant bias we have to endure on Premier Sports, BT in the past or from the likes of Crocker and Walker on Sky.

Didn't get on the flight according to the DR.
Also, whit is any Rangers fan doing reading the DR?! Shocking that mate!

Or… buy it on RangersTV and give the actual club your money.

They've punted the price from £9.99 pm to £12.99! So as soon as I subscribed I told the operator to unsubscribe me as it is 30 days notice - long enough for the 3 games. :)
Buy it in RTV mate. Can’t believe folk are giving Premier Sports their money instead of Rangers

I have a wee sneaky feeling that Alfie might be on the bench, at least. Looks like he’s out of quarantine and he looks in decent shape. Was still playing/training up until about 3 weeks ago too

He’s got no idea about football and media in this country. Gerrard nailed them pretty early on. If he continues snapping like this they’ll turn on him really quickly.
You’d think he’d have been briefed on the uniqueness of Scottish football. He’s not got a clue what’s going on in this game
The reporters can smell blood with him. One minute he’s languid, depressed and seems bereft while making zero eye contact.
The next, he’s biting at their little proddings and they know they’re going to have a field day.
He just completely lacks the iron steel, charisma, drive and presence/aura that Gerrard has. Journos just wouldn’t try that with him.

Can’t really see Hearts holding this lead. They’re fucking terrible

They don’t have the frontmen to capitalise though, they’ve missed two sitters imo
Yep, Liam Boyce is absolutely rank. Should’ve put Smith in for a great chance and totally fucked it. Can barely keep the ball either. Utter pish

Each to their own. Thought him and Aribo slowed us down nearly every time they touched the ball.
I think Kamara was much more guilty of taking too many touches than Davis mate. Agree about Aribo though. Like you say, each to their own

Some strange decisions today though. Thought Davis playing from the start wasn't needed and he was terrible imo. Lundstram should have started. Aribo is never a midfielder in a million years, again today he showed why. Kamara very quiet. Sakala done nothing. Wright and Roofe made an obvious difference. Started brilliantly but the Hagi tackle seemed to flatten us and for 60-70 minutes I don't really remember a chance we created after that.
Deserved the win and the 3 points though. Hopefully the manky mob take a tankin' the night and we roll on to the qualifiers.
And btw fuck that dirty wee bastard that hacked down Hagi, should have been a red.
Davis terrible? You high, mate?! He was like a Rolls Royce in that 1st half. No danger was he even close to being terrible.

Yeah, but mate, both of our CBs ARE £10m rated defenders. That’s what £10m would essentially get you.
Plus, defenders aren’t automatically the ones at fault when goals are conceded. Think about Benfica: Arfield gives the ball away and then they cut through our midfield with a pass because Davis is out of position.
