He really didn't, and before you throw a bunch of stats about they're very misleading when you take into account two seasons in part time divisions

He really did. And that's exclusively using this season's results. Better win ratio, more goals scored per gam less conceded and more youth players in the first team regularly.

Performances win fuck all if you don't win games. Look at Dundee Utd last season. Plaudits from all. Won fuck all. Didn't even make Europe.

We're talking about the Scottish Lower Divisions here, McCoist may have managed to scrape a few more results earlier in the season but the writing was clearly on the wall and McDowall carried on that legacy, McCall has improved things to an extent.

MM stop making excuses - we really dont need to fill in the gaps here.

So long as we continue to make excuses, or postpone judgement for the full and unabridged facts on the gravy train culture at our club - we wil never eradicate it.

Acknowledging it would be wiser to have all the facts to hand before judgement is issued isn't an excuse.

No excuse at all.

And it's interesting you mention the gravy train in the week when King tells us that Ashley's screwing of Rangers is *just business* whilst publicly trying to shame McCoist into a 'satisfaction'.

These strangest of days at Rangers continue, but, hopefully, King and Co will return us to something close to a reality we can live with again.

So the everyday working man who makes sure bread, water and roof over head yet decides to also provide for the club he loves to watch but has in no way profited money out of Rangers just the pure love of watching games and cheering his team is the idiotic man in this yet....

Ally, whose made more than his share of money from the back of our club and as a TV personality throughout the years, was rewarded with shares, MBE etc is the good guy cause he puts himself and his family before the club he claims to love also?

Great thinking. Makes perfectly good sense to me...

Shattered and suffering from sleep deprivation, big Gordy climbs on his mountain bike for the 14 mile cycle home. It’s at times like this he rues the decision to downgrade to just one family car, but needs must and every penny is a prisoner. The driving rain and head on wind would normally be a curse, but with a body craving sleep, they act as a form of stimulus. It’s the 6th night on the trot of 12 hour shifts for Gordy, and despite the 72 hour week demanding a heavy toll, Gordy welcomes the overtime.

What he does not look forward to however, is telling the kids the PS4 will have to wait, or the wife that the much needed new kitchen will have to be put on hold for the time being. The winter service on the family car Gordy will have to do himself, irrespective weather. Next year’s family holiday will have to wait for the following year. Hopefully.

Ranger’s season tickets and shares are the absolute priority for Gordy. Together, they are beyond the normal parameters of the normal family budget. But these are not normal times and Gordy is doing everything within his power to ensure he answers his club’s calling in its hour of need.

We all probably know someone like Big Gordy, in fact some of us may be him. All of us have probably wrestled with the kind of financial dilemmas Gordy has faced these last few years. Such people are the absolute life blood of our great club. And they deserve better, much, much better.

They deserve administrators at our club who negotiate contracts for the benefit of the club and not the self-serving needs of individuals.

They deserve people employed at our club who draw a wage which is commensurate with the role they undertake and the challenges the club faces.

In short they deserve people at the club who reflect their own willingness to sacrifice for the good of our club.

The gravy train, which so many associated with our club, have ridden these last few years, is not fuelled by some mysterious benefactor – it is fuelled by the blood sweat, tears and sacrifices by Big Gordy and thousands like him.

Alistair McCoist, MBE, and a few others – hang your heads in absolute shame.

Every word a gem ,such comments like yours are so true , parasites have invaded our club and it's long overdue for treatment . I just wish that we had people of moral fibre in charge , mini murray when installed as depute chairman ran as fast as his useless legs would take him to lift a ban on that nasty ,insidious ,evil rhag of a newspaper ,whilst not a lover of McCoist the manager using that photo [ originally used ] is beyond the actions of a lowlife scumbag who edits this pernicious piece of shit called a paper . maybe it's time for murray to reconsider his actions which if he did would help to bring the fanbase to give him support .

You proved your own point there Ally couldn't beat Hibs we would have been fucked already.

We're talking about the Scottish Lower Divisions here, McCoist may have managed to scrape a few more results earlier in the season but the writing was clearly on the wall and McDowall carried on that legacy, McCall has improved things to an extent.

And in the Scottish Lower Divisions McCall won less games by fewer goals while conceding more than the same players did in the same division under McCoist.

McCoist being responsible for our survival is the one of the biggest deceptions ever to surround this club

Hope you're blushing saying that, considering your arguments on CG behalf on the same subject.

You have to be an exceptionally bitter individual to give him no credit whatsoever.

For me it has still never sunk in exactly what McCoist is doing to us. I'm 31 now and growing up he was my absolute hero. Up the school park I would bang in a goal and give a "and McCoist does it again for Rangers" in a Jock Brown, Gerry McNee voice (Commentators of the era)

He was the one Rangers man I thought would go on to represent the club in the way the likes of John Greig and Sandy Jardine have done for so many years and it actually hurts the way my hero as a kid has turned out to be a leech and continuing to sponge money from the club for doing nothing.

With the old board in charge I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought he was doing it to stop them getting one over on him and when they were ousted he would re invest the money he took back into the club and would be a big PR stunt to gain back the love of the fans.

Unfortunately this doesn't look like the case and a hero to many a kid of the 90's is gone forever!

You proved your own point there Ally couldn't beat Hibs we would have been fucked already.

This season, the same squad under McCoist had a better win percentage, scored more, conceded less and had a better clean sheet percentage than under McCall.

If Ally wasn't forced out, and McCall having to be brought in to fix the heinous mistake of promoting McDowall, we would have taken 2nd comfortably. That's still a failure for our club, but anyone trying to say we've been better under McCall is deluded beyond help. Easier on the eye performances doesn't consistently win games, the stats prove that.

Ignore it if it doesn't suit your agenda. That's fine.

That's all I could think reading that. If your actually doing overtime and putting stuff like shares ahead of stuff for your kids or family yer an arsehole

Think D'art was just trying to get across the point of the lengths some fans go to for our club and comparing these people to the so called heroes

Well he could leave Rangers, get a job elsewhere, after all he is paying for an agent to help with this kind of stuff.

Why should 'scattercash' leave Rangers and get a 'real job' when there are plenty future share issue buying mugs there to be milked!
