Was very apprehensive about this fixture but hindsights a great thing. Both goalies, McKay and O'Hallaron get pass marks. The two new loans didnt do much but they are not part of the furniture. Over to King, Murray, Gilligan ,and Blair to provide funds to bring in a squad to guarantee European group stage football next season. Bennet and the Parks have done their bit for now.

I think Group stage football is a step too far too soon mate unless something drastic changes, we'll likely have 4 Euro ties to get into the groups, the last round, the Play-Off will be a beauty and the round before it will likely be a very capable team too - the next few years are going to be a real tough ask European wise

I've been wondering for some time if it was his stubbornness that got him sacked/left at Brentford?

Was widely written about at the time that he wouldn't accept their new moneyball policy, so he wasn't for being told what to do.

Wonder no longer mate - his stubbornness, that's all.

This is exactly what I mean mate, you're deluding yourself, the original post was about getting RB in at all costs, you don't set the rules, the only rule is the club take the coin and RB do everything else, you can't champion getting them in and expect them to treat us differently from every other sports team they're associated with, it's fantasist stuff, I don't hold it against those who would take the offer, it's not for me but each to their own but you will never get your cake and eat it with this company.

You're letting the emotional attachment get in the way of your logic, I get it but realistically it just looks silly

I didn't make the original post. I said they can accept red lines, or they can go away. I don't know what you're not getting about that or how it can even be delusional. You're talking about their common recent model, which obviously wouldn't be acceptable.

And by the way, Red Bull have both bought over and rebranded organisations AND sponsored them in more traditional ways. So it's not an absolute either/or. Nowt wrong in discussing it with them if they were to approach. If they agreed to lines, fine. If not, goodbye. Or do they have some kind of mind-altering device that enables them to hypnotize fans and owners if we so much as engage with them?

I agree and unless something radical happens at the next transfer window then we will be in the same position in a years time.

As soon as the opposition score against Rangers the team falls to bits and stops trying.

You can make the argument about how much money has or has not been spent but the team completely lacks fight and heart and that's down to MW.

When a manager walks into the dressing room at half time to ask the players what to do next it's little wonder some of them look bewildered.

We have a team made up of rejects, a couple of aging players and only a couple who have any experience of winning anything and only a few who realise what the demands of playing for. Rangers actually entails.

The money actually paid out on this squad means that doing anything against good teams outside our footballing backwater is unrealistic and second in our division is the best we can hope to achieve for a great many years.

Mark Warburton took Brentford from 4th-2nd in his first season (6 months) gaining automatic promotion to the Championship.

He then led Brentford to 5th place in a highly competitive league finishing above several higher profile clubs whose budgets were far in excess to his. They lost over two legs to Middlesbrough who gained promotion to  the Premiership.

Brentford finished 5th the season after he left and currently lie 15th and are on their third manager.

He gained automatic promotion for us and reached the Scottish Cup Final beating three Premiership teams on the way, playing a style of football superior to the previous managers. Won't include the Petrofac trophy although it had eluded us previously.

He has been dealing at the bottom end of the transfer market and simply can't compete with Celtic in terms of transfer fees & wages. They have had a couple of Champions League qualifications bringing in 10s of millions and sold several players to the most hyped league in Europe, although how many duds were signed, played and released without many even realizing they were there.

The reality is he is trying to rebuild not only a team but also the whole infrastructure of a club we can be proud of. This will take time and require patience from a support whom (imo) have quickly forgotten the mistakes of previous regimes and whose only remedy is spend, spend, spend.

Mark Warburton has shown the class & dignity expected from a Rangers manager several times in his short tenure and deserves the fans backing.

Nothing to do with the question I was answering, but thanks for your efforts.

Windass up front - Interesting - setup the goal for Toral that was dissallowed.

Toral - nice finish, good touch, looks like he needs a couple of games, but doesnt look to far way at all and could go straight in.

Hyndland  -  tried to get on the ball, and ran about, but didnt influence anything and his touch at times didnt look great

Thoughts?

All expenses paid trip to play a friendly and a match fee of 150,000 Euros, Could have played better but good for our finances.

Think you saw us at our best today. Hopefully King and the rest of the board were watching. We need a lot more than 150 k Euros to get through the EL group stages.

We have a big wage wise and transfer with Aberdeen, why the fuck are we still battling with them for second?

Why not talk about what he's done with Rangers? That's all that matters

Cant be arsed reading you cunts opinion but that was a shambles yesterday. To a man not one of them good enough.

Likewise, I'm sure many are waiting eagerly for your opinion. Just because you paid to go to Germany doesn't make your opinion more valid.

More valid? If anyone doesn't agree they're on smack. We are a fucking joke of a team.
