Let's be honest, Waghorn and Garner were pish. But we undersold them at the time, and in the Championship even average players can go for £6-10million these days. He had not done anything before he came to us - had been at a fair few times and loaned out. We got him from the dregs of Wigan and after a decent championship season he was shite in the SPL for whatever reason. We wanted rid and it was clear no one was really interested so we had to sell him for peanuts to get him off the wage bill - and lets face it the majority of fans wanted rid of him. Slightly off topic but we seem to have a track record of bringing players in who have a decent background, they play shite for us for a season or so, they get punted for peanuts or payed off and reach they go on to regain their form when they move on.
