More rumours coming out now that their accounts are going to be horrific

I'd have thought it guaranteed. If they don't make CL groups then they sell a key player, its what they do. This season they did neither, no one was interested enough.

Add in reduced revenues due to the pandemic and its got to hurt. Duffy costing them 3.5m by the summer will sting a bit too 😂

£60m wages bills don't pay themselves, nor do civil case fines.

Tough times ahead for them 👍

What is their accounting period?

Surely if accounts are due out soon, it will be for last year, so the impact of missing out on CL and Covid wont hit till next years accounts.

Story in The Times today regarding the delay in publishing the SFA report into child abuse. MSP's ramping up the pressure & questioning the motives behind its delay.

The thing that got me in the article was that apparently in 1986 Celtic did an internal investigation and surprise surprise that was never published either. It’s quite telling that the survivors and their solicitors don’t believe such an investigation actually place. Also it’s quite weird that one the convicted paedophiles cannot he named for legal reasons. WTF? He’s a fkn pervert and should be named and shamed along with the rest.

Disgusting club from the boardroom to the fans. Imagine sticking up for a lowlife like Torbett and abusing his victims 😡

They did sell a player last season though, tierney and europa last 32 got them a good few quid towards paying their expenses, what they will lack is matchday revenue from march onwards, which wont be that much tbh,

However the horrific part will be the operating expenses (might be higher than last accounts) plus their trade payables (money owed in transfer fees which sat at 30mill last accounts

Usually clubs buy and sell players both in installments, what you get in you pay out with slight variations of course, but tierney money was all up front, and the bulk of dembele might be as well plus most of that is gone, so they havent sold much in the last 2 years that comes in monthly now, but paying 30mill in installments (will be more given they bought players summer 2019) will hit them hard

And there might, and i stress might, be a provision for future court cases in there as well, which will be a pretty penny

These ones will be awful viewing, but wait and see next years when the time comes, they will be crippling them, ours will be bad as well, but nowhere near like theres, bet they have a fire sale in jan wether they are in the league race or not

the sheep are in a very good place the now, 4-1 at half time. they'll be going into the scum game full of confidence & if milan fuck the taigs over they'll not be looking forward to the sheep game.

the pressure is on and a meltdown is a real possibility

They missed CL last season as well, the year they sold dembele they played europa league till last 32, they made a small loss, the accounts for them up to end of june 19 had their operating expenses at 90mill, dont be surprised if thats higher unless they pulled a fast one and the deferred wages meant their wage bill was lower for 4 months up to june 20

However the tierney money was all up front, dembele money is almost paid no doubt, and they haven't had any other worthwhile sales bringing in the monthly dough, they however owed 30mill in purchases by june 19, add in julien, and whoever else the bought summer 19 and their monthly transfer bills will be crippling them, especially as they dont have matchday revenue this season

Yeh, I share the same doubts unfortunately...

He started out with a target, with promise to do the book  , it seems he has changed this and wants more money for something else before he actually gets his finger out . It may end badly for him

It's likely he can't be named for an ongoing case. Don't want to be denying someone else justice. Once that's over by all means name and shame.

The internal investigations are a sham. Any done would no doubt find anyone involved at scum fc in the clear.  It will just be a case of them consulting lawyers to establish if they can be legally held accountable.

Hopefully the court case finally get them held to account and punished.

If my club had covered up child abuse, they wouldn’t be my club anymore.

The Guardian article is a horrible read. Couldn’t actually finish it.

Hope every bastard that was involved in it or was complicit in the cover up rots for it.

The sheep will be keen to draw level on points with the scum and will have had a good look at how we strolled past them.   Points dropped by timothy in this one.

If they (Aberdeen) have anything about them whatsoever (and I’m not sure if they actually do) they should be smelling blood right now, suppose we’ll find out soon enough...

Sounds good. But did you just decide these things in your head, or do you have any reason to say it?

Even the Tierney money was all up front?, Why would they do that, if payments are usually made in installments?

I think, and hope they are fucked of course, just people making out like they know about how these things work makes me laugh tbh.
