Part of me wishes him well but he’s at significant risk of Liverpool looking elsewhere when Klopp goes I'm In two minds about how I want him to get on. Part of me wants him to succeed to avoid all the nonsense from down south that anyone can manage Rangers to win the league that you see on social media all the time. The other part if me wants him to struggle so he realises what he gave up by leaving us when he had the chance of more trophies and CL.
Popular Post SIRB_72 4,148
I dont understand why fans in here and in general are putting us down for all sorts of reasons. This job is a superb opportunity for any young British or European manager. The chance to win titles, cups and guarenteed Euro football doesnt just come up every day. Also because of our close proximity to England people can use it as an opportunity to get there. Gerrard and rodgers are perfect examples. You're taking over a modern club who have the best squad in the league, are currently sitting 4 points ahead of your biggest rival who are in transition, in a cup semi and are potentially a win away from post-xmas European football. As for the finances, we know why there was a 23 million loss, we know a lot of that loss is for things that wont be in next years accounts. As for the playing squad financially if you take over any top team in any of the smaller nations (Portugal, Holland, Belgium etc.) managers know that there is "wheeling and dealing" to be done, it's just part of the model and its the next step of our evolution with or without Gerrard. However, whoever the next manager is has a great chance to actually give themselves a chance to revamp the squad or keep what he likes if they win the league with what is the best squad in the league and get into the CL. Negri's lovechild 15,386
I'm not overly pissed off to be honest, which probably means that deep down i know that he had probably reached the peak of his abilities with this squad, and that there is a better fit out there for the stage we are at as a club. His role in getting us to this point won't be forgotten, but the timing really isn't ideal. That's why the pragmatic managers we are being linked with just won't work. We need a seamless but progressive fit, and a slightly less predictable manager. Gio is the calibre i would like. falkirkNS

stuart1994 4,532
My preference would be Gio, big name who would command respect and his Feyernord team set up in a similar fashion to us from what I’ve read. Hope who ever it is they’re in place for Monday at the latest to give them plenty of time to prepare for Hibs.
scottyscott1963 19,134
Have not voiced a serious word on this. Looks very much like SG is leaving for pastures new. Me personally will never ever forget the scenes from a few happy months past. In the course of celebrating how we won 55 i had a few emotional moments, which might have been due to the copious amounts of whisky i consumed, and during the moments i shed a tear for a young man who denied himself his family life, and questioned why someone would do that for us. I put him on a pedestal for doing this for us,and thank him for those couple of months of joy. If SG is gone then so is that moment in time. It's history and we move on and hope for better moments. We'll be here long after SG's managerial career is gone. WE WILL ALWAYS BE HERE. Just read through that again and it's not even birthday caird pish, but i typed it out,so it's getting posted. magic8ball, surfsup2 and Rowley Birkin
