SPFL On Red Alert

Just as a side note, interesting how Davie Martindale of Livingston was vocal a good week or two about bringing the winter break forward and very little was said about it, or support given.

I understand the push has come about with the limiting of spectators, but also with the drive of one club, and the rest seem to rally round them.

Daily Record (so will have come from Doncaster) saying the 10 clubs in favour can carry the decision to bring forward the break but ultimately it needs Sky’s approval.

Keep an eye on whatever Keith Jackson writes as that will be direct from Doncaster.

Restrictions don't start until 27th mate. We could have 50000 in Ibrox tonight if we wanted.

We could which makes the decision even worse.  If the situation is such that she feels she needs restrictions then any restrictions should take immediate effect. Picking an arbitrary a week ahead makes no sence.

On Twitter it’s said hearts have sided with us… who knows🤷🏼‍♂️

It's a strange old situation. Seen the article on the BBC site and it looks like Callum Davidson has a bit of sense. Shame he won't be making the decision.

St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson said: "Obviously we want the games to go ahead as much as possible but you don't really know the severity of Covid in three weeks' time. That's the only issue. We could end up being six weeks."

Done the big shop at Tesco tonight. It was rammed, way over 500 inside.  But we are only allowed 500 in Ibrox.

On another note the UK has recorded 12 deaths attributable to Omicron.  Very sad and tragic as is any loss of life.

Since Omicron arrived in the UK it is highly likely that more people have taken their own lives or been killed in road accidents than have died through the Omicron variant. It is certain that many more will have died through strokes, heart attacks and cancer.

But you don’t need to be fully vaccinated to go to Tesco .

Mate hearts and their fans are not on Rangers side in any way shape or form and haven't been for years, they gloated in our demise as hard as the rest of them.

Long gone are the days of the common brotherhood.

Reckon almost every Hearts fan over 60 (Iv known many) would back Rangers at every turn .

Almost all under 50 would stand on our throats if they could .

Hopefully Ross County vote doesn't end up in the junk mail

Whole situation is a farce, only really 2 out of 12 teams in the league have experienced any real difficulty and even at that, Dundee United showed up fairly well against us at the weekend. Not even any indication that spikes have been coming from football crowds but they’ve jumped in and dealt with that, games should continue as planned 100% if it’s bcd

It's not always about us or them. These clubs need the revenue that crowds bring in, so I totally understand them wanting this to happen.

Exactly. If it wasn’t for AFCON I wouldn’t give a fuck.

I'm confused - I assumed St Mirren on Sunday was now behind closed doors (or with 500 fans only).

It says restrictions start on the 26th December?

Would love to be wrong on this but pretty sure Sunday is gubbed for fans??
