McEwan's Lager 30,524
A good dribbler who can turn and run with pace but outside that he’s poor. He has no passing vision or passing ability, no composure, his touch lets him down often. AGM_72
RockwellGers 14,712
Gio likes him and clearly rates him. Whatever he's lacking in, the coaches will be trying to improve and bring into his game. He's a hard worker and he'll be pushing hard to improve too. Sometimes it's just not going to happen, I'm sure many on here would say it won't but football often surprises. sasap
mitre_mouldmaster 21,509
Decent option to have. People also seem to just forget that we need a certain amount of home grown players in our squad. Can anyone think of a home grown player available on our budget who could replace him and be an upgrade? Possibly McKay if he has matured is the only one I can think of. ayrshireranger and VanVeenRangers
Laudrupsleftfoot 10,875
Wright's really grown on me, think he's a really useful squad player. Needs to keep improving though. left winger and DiamondDan
Moody Blue 9,357
A Scottish Candeias for me, hard working, obviously performs quite a disciplined role on the right to assist Tav. His numbers (like a lot of our forward players) confirm he doesn’t do nearly enough damage in the last third. I doubt he’s ever going to be a regular scorer. He did fine yesterday, I guess that’s all we’ll ever say about him. Compare and contrast with across the city where their wide players get goals regularly, different set up / tactics but we do need more contribution across the whole front line to take pressure of Morelos and Čolak. Early days with the likes of Tillman and Lawrence but looks like they will outscore Wright.

McKay doesn't really press or work hard for the team in the way that Wright does, albeit he's a better technical footballer in terms of touch and weight of pass. VanVeenRangers 2,536
A good squad player
NixonRFC 1,334
He's a squad player, in time he'll not be a squad player but for now he's relatively cheap enough to keep him around and use him in games like yesterday's while protecting Lawrence for the bigger picture. I'd imagine we'll see where we are in terms of Europe in January and may look to move him on then or next summer.
Leftpegcoopz11 4,755
I had high hopes for him when he signed, thought he was raw (had came bk from a bad injury) but he's never really improved too much/kicked on. An impact sub is probably the best he'll be, nothing against him but would maybe be good for a Livi, Killie or the like.
bluenose48 951
Wright is a good squad player has flashes of brilliance but passing lets him down. He will have to do until Matondo gets up to speed.

esquire8 42,757
Works hard and has some pace. That's about it. Though there isn't many Scottish wingers that are better out there right now.

Young wingers are inconsistent. McKay seemed like a wee fanny around the time of his exit, and hasn’t exactly gone into great things, but he had times at us where he was a contributor - Wright keeps ‘being a hard worker’ with little output. Amokachi 3,010
Hopefully the new sports science chap Bowley can work on Wright & others to get more out of him/them. Always get the impression a wee bit more aggression & focus in his game would improve him no end.

Not when you’re playing with a man down, Wright is a decent cheap option who can fill in when needed. McKay you couldn’t play in half our games, certainly wouldn’t have won the ball back for our Leipzig goal. Laudrupsleftfoot
DiamondDan 2,386
He's never going to hold down a starting 11 place or make the hall of fame, but he is a decent back up player, at times can make a decent contribution and if nothing else his pace gives a presence which occupies the minds of opposition defenders. I've changed my mind on him. J-Maestro
