The back 4 gets a really hard time, but the lack of investment / effort in the central midfield roles and the lack of drive / output from our attackers means they’re constantly on the back foot in bigger games.

Exactly, we are always going to concede chances but that should be from a quick break from an individual error or some moment of brilliance.

It’s usually just from the collapse of our midfield.

That gets worse every time you see it by the way. No cunt near him and has all the time in the world to pick the pass out.

It really does.

Half arsed effort from at least 4 players there, and Lundstram is as bad there if not worse than Kamara for lack of effort.

Davies beimg left to mark 2 in the centre is a joke too. Simple movements seem to be losing our players. Shocking.

Again watching it, why is there no pressure on Hatate when he has the ball, both Tillman and Lundstram just stand off. Sakala is caught watching and not tracking the run of Taylor. Then both Kamara and Lundstram make no effort to get back to Mooy. Then the shit show between Goldson and Tavernier to not pass his man on and let Tav shut down the cross. Our lack of communication all over the pitch and body language was shite, only positive was we didn't chuck it and skelped again.

A Rolls Royce of a player when his pals were here, he was settled, and team was playing well.

Now his pals are away, his move fell through, and we need strong characters to push us on he's turned into a Lada.

Needs sold or scrapped.

Needed sold in the summer of 2021 when he was a sellable asset.

The club is effectively looking in the bottom drawer of the fridge at rotten mouldy vegetables and reminiscing about how it once looked fresh and vibrant inside.

Hopefully seen the last of him in a Rangers jersey along with Lundstram, flogging 2 dead horses who the club know have run their race at Ibrox but play in the naive hope to attract some kind of fee in the summer.

If Beale has shown us one thing on his return is his love of Glen Kamara

don’t see that changing

This all day. He was the one player even when he was at his peak I felt could have been sold & replaced without too much trouble.

Missed the boat with him, Morelos and I'd say Borna who was also a sellable asset at the time!

There is a damning trent at Ibrox of purple patches and falling off cliffs, players NEED moved on when hot before the rot sets in and we're left flogging dead horses.

In essence we need a trading model…….oh wait that’s what Ross Wilson said we had in place already :hmmm:

It’s never nice to sell our best players but in order to improve our squad as a whole with the quality uplift required to be dominant domestically again and compete in europe we need to generate income and that is only really going to come from selling our best assets when they are at their peak.

Bassey is probably the only player where the model has been effective (I suppose Patterson as well but since he came through the academy it’s not really an example of trading). Aribo was a rushed sale as he had no intention of signing a new deal, Morelos and Kent now doing the same thing as goldson most likely of seeing what’s available before just signing an extension.

Wilson is a fucking joke, the one thing he needs to do is be absolutely on top of our current squad in terms of their contract expiration, interest from other clubs for our better players, offering players out that clearly aren’t going to cut it here, identifying and monitoring about 5/6 players for every position as potential incomings should we sell players in that position or we have the funds to improve those areas.

Biggest issues there are Kamara showing no interest, Sakala and Lundstram not being switched on enough to see a threat until it's too late, and Goldson, as much as I like him, gets it positionally all wrong such that Tav struggles to pass the man on and the minute it goes wide we're fucked in the middle.

Kind of cumulative garbage you expect from lesser SPL outfits.

Don’t think tracking runners or not being tight is because they don’t give a fuck. (This pattern is playing out every OF). I think it was because they were out of puff. That’s what fatigue does. You make mistakes, switch off. We were fine for the first 30.

We’re getting tactically fucked at the moment. They play a high line and press  which shortens the distance between defence and front 3.

Makes it tight as fuck for the opposition and gives them no time and space on the ball. Makes it easier to sprint because you’re travelling much less distance to close down opposition players. And you usually end up winning the possession battle. (Think they had over 70% first half) so only having to press for half the time.

Lundstrum, Kamara and Tillman looked pretty knackered towards the end of the first half and all 3 weren’t tracking runners in the same way. Raskin definitely looks like he has an engine on him. But he ain’t Mo Farah and he’s going to struggle to maintain that if we don’t change something next time we play them.

Contrast that for Mooy and Hatate out of possession. They’re only needing to sprint and press for a very short period of time and distance most of the time.

We need a better summer preseason then bar the one where Gio (and his staff) basically fucked the whole teams fitness!? Or we need more players that fits in with Michael Beale "vision" of playing a high press game.

I've seen fuck all that suggests he's playing anything near a "high press" or pressing game (Hearts game excluded). I want to see him playing a style he said he would, otherwise its all hot air.

Yeah accurate long balls inbehind to quick stikers may be the solution. Not something we currently have bar the erratic sakala

That clip mainly highlights to me, what the fuck is Goldson doing or pointing at?????? He literally gets caught following the ball, there's absolutely no need for him to do what he did.

Goldson is pointing out the guy that tav should have went out to instead of coming inside to cover as goldson had him covered, our fullbacks are brutal for that, they come inside and leave gaping holes dpwn their flank

Beales had two months to work on these guys, if they are fucked after 30mins then he isnt doing it right
