The scrutiny on every decision in our games for months from media hacks to tarrier cheerleaders on broadcasting platforms has been intentionally done to pressure the "officials" into making a large decision in their favour such as today. That way they can simply play the ole "these things even themselves out" card. We have absolutely nobody in mainstream media in our corner with maybe the exception of Kris Boyd (even McCann seems to have taken a pop at us out of nowhere lately).
