Aye, I'd guess there'll be people that would be disgusted about the idea of wishing harm on Rangers fans will be quite happy to ignore Rangers fans actually getting burned so they can enjoy themselves.

Think thats where it would be best to have the conversation someone suggested earlier of having a safe space / designated area type thing for them to be used

I'm not aware of any, but that doesn't mean they aren't dangerous.

I've already said I enjoy it as a spectacle. I'm quite happy to acknowledge though that lighting something that burns that hot in close proximity to fellow fans is something that could go very wrong very quickly. Pretending otherwise is silly.

There are flares which have been designed by fans in Norway to be safe as possible as they're low burning but still have the same effect.

No idea which ones the UB use though.

Happens all across Europe with no bother, best derbies in world football usually have tifos and flares choreographed with each other, but in Scotland where you have cunts at games greeting and shouting at folk to sit down and sit in silence it's no surprise there's now a national uproar

Thats 100% what it should be, a designated area.

Keeps it all manageable, looks fantastic, and anyone who doesnt want to get involved arent there to moan.

Their scum group was banned for consistently acting against their club's wishes, circumventing security and safety protocols within stadiums to smuggle both people without tickets and displays in via fire doors, and for being abusive and threatening to staff at their dump and Easter Road, and there hasn't been a quarter of the panty pissing about that compared to the way people are reacting about last night.

Was it a bit daft given the circumstances surrounding last night's game? Yes - but let's get some perspective.

Thing is we all know how this works so it was obvious that we would be under the microscope after their lot had something said about their behaviour.

Happens every time without fail. If it wasn't pyro it would be something else.

Probably the songbook. That's their usual go to, even though it's fine.

Mind the uproar over a fake whatsapp vid? That's the level we're judged to compared to the scum.

The then Justice Minister commenting on a live investigation into a fake video. That level of competence was then promoted into leading the country. Great stuff.

Not sure why this thread has descended into paranoia - regardless of your views on ‘pyro’ it’s pretty clear that a whole stand looking like that was going to draw comment given the fact it’s illegal.  Hard to criticise it though, and players seemed to have appreciated it (eg raskin post).
