Can only hope that Hagi dropped the wage increase clause entirely and that we didn't have an add-on fee due to Genk.   Not a fan of Hagi, too slow, too light and can't last longer than 60 mins.

Hagi is a better footballer than Lawrence imo and has shown the right attitude during this.  Welcome back.

Hagi is a determined player capable of making a defence cutting pass. He is also comfortable with both feet. It's good to have him back as an option.

One of two options really…

- Board decided, and rather than tell the truth PC chose to (or was made to) claim it was a football decision when it was clearly financial.

- PC didn’t rate him, but has looked at the options we have and what Hagi can offer, and decided to soften his stance based on what he thinks is best for the team.

Likely option 1b where it was forced on him.

Clement/Koppen were aware of the situation regarding the wages increase that would be triggered with appearances and advised Hagi and his management that he would not be part of the plan for this season and therefore should find another club. 
 

Unable to get a suitable transfer during the window and the club holding firm that they would not trigger the appearance based raise he was demoted to the B team. 
 

Contract renegotiated and welcomed back to the squad as he’s a decent option and no worse than many others that have played games so far this season.

Clement doesn't sound happy that he is back and looks embarrassed that the board have gone over his head.

He's not a ready option according to the manager, yet he is for his country.

A lot of people will say stats flatter him - but I’d rather have him in the team than Lawrence.

Sadly I expect Hagi will only see game time out wide if at all, which is probably a waste of everyones time.
