It's the job of the management and scouting team to identify the quality. It's the job of the board to provide the funds to then sign that quality.

Everyone knows the days of signing Mols etc are long gone ffs but the scum have and still are spending a couple of million on players from abroad and down south (Wanyama, Van Dijk etc) who have strolled the league, helped them in Europe then ultimately got them massive profits. That Dembele cunt will be the next. That's the way we need to go about things if we want to catch them. Spend money - it's not difficult.

Playing against a really good German in-form side like Lepzig is bound to show first hand to the Rangers players exactly what the need to be aspiring to achieve.  I may be a harsh lesson but playing in the SPFL is one thing whereas the sort of quality needed for European football is before their eyes first hand  For many, they may not be capable of it.  For others - like McKay - they should be capable of it.   They all really do need to learn from it though and take that learning into the 2nd half of our season.    T

Leipzip playing Rangers who can take c8000 of a Support to an away game might also serve as a useful reminder to clubs throughout Europe of the potential that is in Rangers and help argue the case for cross border leagues.  Who knows, maybe even some investors might get some up to date notice of the potential that Rangers as a Club has.

The problem we have is that we're supposed to be building year on year, whereas this team just looks like it needs a complete rebuild.

Too many mistakes have been made with signings. Nicky Law would have been better than some of our midfield.

We really are clueless at the back, lose the ball far too easily in midfield and 9 times out of 10 pick the wrong option with our final ball. The only hope is that this game really proves that although we are capable of finishing second in the SPFL we have no chance of negotiating European qualifiers next season unless we find a bit of quality somewhere.
