Whats the story with Ross McCrorie

He’s a great young talent. He is being used exactly how young talent should be used. He’s in the squad getting a bit of game time.

Only reason it feels like he’s been put in the shadows is because we were so shit last season that he was seen as a key player which probably didn’t help his development.

He was a lamb to the slaughter against the beasts when Murty put him at Centre back alongside Martin.

I like him, but he’s not that good right now.

Said at the start of the season he wouldn’t feature much and got slaughtered for it.

Shouldnt be starting, but a good squad option and one for the future hopefully.

Exactly this.

Called it the second Coulibaly was signed that he would be ahead of him, and now Jack is too, and Rossiter would be if he was fit. But a good indicator of our strength in depth that one of our better players last season is now realistically excluding Rossiter our 3rd choice DM.

Can you see Young Ross getting a sniff?  looks right out the picture now

He's on the bench and will get plenty chances during the season - and is still young. This is a squad game and he is a great player to have in the squad and will make his mark over the season. SG also seems to be the type of manager who will try to close out a game when we are leading with 15-20 min to go and I can see RMc being the player called upon when that is the case so plenty of game time for him.

As much as i like the boy, he is nowhere near good enough to be playing regularly for us just now.

Baffling the amount of people who wanted him named captain for this season, let the boy learn and improve his own game without piling extra pressure on him.

He's not good enough yet. Excellent prospect and we'll need him to step in throughout the season, but he's not ready to be playing every week. He was a shining light in last years shambles because he was the only one that would get tore in about it - but we've got a team full of more experienced and better players who would run through a brick wall for the boss now.

Still love the kid though, big future here.
