Rangers are not facing possible sanctions from UEFA over sectarian behaviour in the Europa League clash in Denmark.

The Daily Record and other media outlets published a story that was written by a freelancer who stated European football’s governing body are investigating racism from Rangers supporters during the 4-2 win at Midtjylland.

In this article the author claimed he had been informed the Ibrox club were facing a third UEFA charge.

Rangers had already been punished for sectarian chanting during the home victory against St Joseph’s back in July.

They also face sanctions for supporters allegedly misbehaving

Would it not make more sense to ignore those that ran the same copy from the same journo and have since retracted the story without apology or any action being taken like the Sun, Herald and Evening Times?

This x 1000.  Many moons ago (about 15 years to be exact), I trained as a sports journalist and even spent some time at the Record when Traynor headed up the sports department/was assistant editor and Jackson was the next new sports journo superstar.  Having wanted to write for the paper for years, it actually ended up putting me off the career completely (best thing that ever happened).  

Now, I don't touch the paper nor give it any online clicks.  It's an abomination of a news reporting outlet.
